  1. Questions about Switching to Chinese Tacky Rubbers

You do need a big swing and fast arm speed to use Chinese rubbers. My shoulder will tell you everything you want to know. However, I'm rewarded with lots of control and spin but I just can't keep it up for lots of matches. One more thing. You can overcome incoming spin easier due to...
  2. Did Lin Gaoyuan get sponsored by a new brand? His backhand rubber has purple sponge

I can't imagine that he would be using a $15 rubber.
  3. Yasaka Bold Dragon - Review

I put on my Bolo Dragon and I actually like it a lot. It's got fantastic grip/spin. I use it on my BH for short flicks and pushes. Doesnt' have much power away from the table but I don't use it far away. When compressed it gives a solid crack and very good feeling. I put on just a single...
  4. Xiom Omega 8?

I'm sorry but you can't call those rubbers sticky. If it can't hold a ball upside down then it's not sticky.
  5. Xiom Omega 8?

When they say "sticky" does it mean hold the ball upside down sticky or just somewhat tacky? They said "Guang" was supposed to be sticky but I didn't think it's sticky at all.
  6. Yasaka Bold Dragon - Review

Hardness is due to sponge. Tackiness is due to top sheet. Why would one affect the other when not hitting?
  7. Yasaka Bold Dragon - Review

Does it hold a ball for 10 seconds?
  8. Why anti-glanti materials need a friction limitation.

Of course at high levels every game has lots of strategy and tactics. But soccer to me is a bunch of people running around not using their hands. The downfall of baseball is that there is so much going on underneath the surface the average person has no clue. That's why they call it...
  9. Why anti-glanti materials need a friction limitation.

Same argument to ban pips. This is going to get heated. 🍿 For my $0.02 I think pips do nothing for the game. What kind of audience would you get on TV when you show defensive or pips players floating balls back all day? I'd rather watch paint dry.
  10. Why hurricane 3 are less tacky?

I've asked that same question for awhile now and got nothing. I've since switched to Skyline which is still a little tacky. My guess is probably the chemical formula/additive to make it sticky was found to be hazardous so they stopped using it. I can't believe there are people who prefer H3...
  11. Why hurricane 3 are less tacky?

According to the other thread Yasaka Bolo Dragon is very sticky.
  12. Yasaka Bold Dragon - Review

  15. DHS New blade 六金王·狂飚龙5S(W968S)

Well if you have a winning brand milk it for everything it's worth. I'm pretty sure ML is getting his share of the revenue.
  16. Hu Heming and his latest video on equipment

So every time you catch your rubber on the table it lifts off the blade. So now you have to add glue or else it will be loose. I just don't understand any advantage to have all this extra fluff hanging off your racquet.
  17. Hu Heming and his latest video on equipment

Why do people cut the rubbers so big? They leave like 1/4 inch of extra that is flopping in the wind. It adds extra weight and can catch on the table.
  18. Fan zhendong, Ma Long and Cheng Meng announces Retirement from WTT/ITTF

Probably a protest move since his retirement decision is the only one he can make on his own.
  19. Fan zhendong, Ma Long and Cheng Meng announces Retirement from WTT/ITTF

If FZD played in the Bundeslige that would be like Michael Jordan playing in Euro basketball. You would probably have double the attendance.
  20. Fan zhendong, Ma Long and Cheng Meng announces Retirement from WTT/ITTF

It seems he retired from both WTT and ITTF. So that's a full complete retirement from Pro Table Tennis.
