I said it in chat, I'll repeat it here - Fan Zhendong is the epitome of everything that's wrong with modern table tennis. So much raw power, so much insane speed, it's getting less and less pretty to watch. The Chinese dominance pretty much killed the interest for the sport here in Europe too...

Good, because I later remembered that I started at age 10. :D And still, coaches at my club said I was too old (but accepted me anyway).

I'm pretty sure every player at the elite level uses wrist when looping. Take a look at this video:

To my understanding, Green is a former ghetto gang banger who only started playing TT at the age of 19 (I was considered too old when I started, and I was 11). This considered, he's a solid player, but what's he doing at the pro tour circuit, I've no idea.

Congrats to Xin, he performed as expected. But my World Cup hero is Dima. I'm still sad over his semifinal loss, he was brilliant and came incredibly close to beating Xu. Coming back from 0-2 against a player like that and taking a lead... That takes class, and Ovtcharov displayed plenty of it.

World is full of ignorant idiots. Luckily, people who actually know a thing or two about sports rarely make such remarks. My friends used to tease me like this just to get on my nerves, but they're fully aware of the SPORT that table tennis is. :)
