  1. What's the one thing you wish you new when you first started playing table tennis?

I wish I knew that starting playing TT would make me venture to endless journey of psychological nightmare of EJing.
  2. My newly bought racket is too fast, what can I do?

Sorry, but I am pretty surprise that AK-47 is considered to be fast rubber. I use the yellow one (in between red and blue types) and I think the speed is about the same with un-tuned / un-boosted regular Mark V with less spin. I use it to test various blades, as it is much cheaper compared to...
  3. Cure for the EJ

For fun only, may be we need to set up a poll: "how long MOG is going to use this BBFF?" a. < 1 week b. < 1 month c. < 2 months d. < 3 months e. Forever 😊
  4. I am in deep deep dilemma

AK 47 is the cheaper alternative to Mark V. But it is a good rubber for us, mere mortals. Considering the price, I would say it is a good bargain, compared to Razka 7, Fastarc 1-G or Vega Pro.
  5. Is it fair to Ma Long?

I was thinking of giving Ma Long the last chance to win another WTTC before retiring. Nobody can surpass him in the future, I guess.
  6. Is it fair to Ma Long?

I believe that Ma Long can win the latest WTTC in Houston, if he is allowed to participate. Do you think it is fair to Ma Long since "he is not participating in this event" due to ..... reason?
  7. A word of appreciation to Yinhe Pro 01

Yes, it is a good blade. And it is a closer replica to Viscaria / Boll ALC, compared to Yinhe V-14 Pro (as V-14 Pro is a bit thicker thus has stiffer and more direct feeling compared to Viscaria).
  8. What is your coaches funny coaching tips expressions?

I don't remember if I heard this from my old coach or from my TT friend: To be a TT world champion, you just need to do these 3 things consistently: 1. Never miss hitting the ball 2. Never hit the ball onto the net 3. Never hit the ball out of the table
  9. best yinhe blade

I am only familiar with Yinhe M6 (supposed to be Stiga Clipper clone, but it is not), W6 (Yasaka Extra clone) and MC-2 (Stiga OC plus layer of microcrystallin, so more like Stiga Optimum Plus). They are OK considering the prices they are offered.
  10. Yasaka Falck Carbon and W7 Blades Review

My 82 grams BT777 is a bit faster than my 87 grams P700 Edit: ooops sorry, I did not realize this is an old thread
  11. alternative for primorac off- and donic appelgren allplay?

Yasaka Sweden Extra. Slow 6.0 mm blade. In the same league as Primorac Off-. A bit faster than Appelgren Allplay. It is known as THE looping blade. Avalox BT550. Also known as THE ULTIMATE looping blade. But this one is faster than Primorac Off- and Yasaka Extra. But reading your...
  12. Stiga Clipper CR wood

Regarding Clipper CR, yes, the 3/4 part (from top of the blade) the surface felt different than the 1/4 part (lower part to handle) of the blade. It is not only visible on Clipper CR, but also on my Allround CR and Offensive CR (both normal and WRB type). Currently I have sealed all my...
  13. Stiga Clipper CR wood

According to discussion that I read, it is a substance that is spread on the surface of the blade and then it is cured by UV. So it is some kind of coating that is hardened / dried by UV light. It is like you go to dentist and when they put a filling on your tooth and then it was cured...
  14. Thoughts on this setup?

OK, I do not know DHS PG5 but I know Yasaka Gatien Extra, Yasaka Gatien Extra 3D, Yasaka Extra and now Yasaka Sweden Extra. Yasaka Gatien Extra was used by Phillipe Gatien (TT World Champion '93), coming from his old Stiga Allround Evolution. Yasaka Extra was also used by Ma Lin and Wang Hao in...
  15. Stiga Clipper CR wood

I remember the discussions in other TT forum. CR is to make the surface harder (a characteristic that Chinese players love) and it is actually like some kind of varnish. So, do we need to varnish again? The conclusion is: you must, just to be safe. Stiga blades are prone to splinter, whether...
  16. Cure for the EJ

You are actually correct. Not browsing any TT forums can only help a bit. THERE IS NO CURE !!!! I am content with my blade now, but after playing with it for few weeks, I get the itch to try something different. I think I have found the holy grail, but still, in the back of my mind, I...
  17. Cure for the EJ

I posted this answer in relation to your other post (Ma Lin Carbon). Let me repeat. There is no cure for EJ !!! The first step to cure EJing (if that can ever happen) is TO STOP VISITING ANY TT FORUMS. Better yet, stop using your web browser for any TT related topics. Then, you can...
  18. Yasaka Ma Lin Carbon

Let's hear from you again in a few months 🤣 I am not mocking you, but EJing cannot be cured !!! To be cured from EJing (if that can ever happen), the first thing to do is STOP VISITING ANY FORUMS. Better yet, stop using web browser for any related TT stuff.
  19. Cure for the EJ

That is true. I have played with countless blades and I still play well with my old Korbel or Clipper. To be honest, I don't think that any new blades will make me play better. But the joy of EJing is a different thing: it is a psychological effect. So my advice is: stick to what you...
