  1. Backhand rubbers? Is d09c too much for a beginner-intermediate player?

I can't praise the 09c enough. the rubber is so good and "covers" so many levels of play that I call it a masterpiece in rubber manufacturing. There is no other rubber that can be used by both Timo Boll and table tennis weekend warrior.
  2. Do you play with equipment above your level?

I personally don't believe in the concept of equipment being above the player. In every sport I played, I tried to have quality equipment, especially shoes. In tennis, it was the Nike Vapor (Federer's shoes of choice, obviously customized for him). My game is not and will never be at the highest...
  3. Is Gauzy using a blade from a different brand ?

Definitely a racket made to his specifications after a series of tests after which he gives feedback to his sponsor until he approves the version that suits him best. Business as usual.
  4. What blade Darko Jorgic playing at Europe top 16 cup.

Well, you'd be surprised how many people ask that. just look at the talk tennis forum. I have played tennis for a long time and I still have several pro stock rackets. They weren't that hard to get. I also have the specifications written down somewhere - mass, balance point, racket length, swing...
  5. What blade Darko Jorgic playing at Europe top 16 cup.

Nope. I am 100% sure. I saw his racket up close and personal. ALC blade with Victas handles. Btw, Dyneema sounds so differently. Far cry from that typical twack from ALC. And I do agree fully with opinion that technique and rubbers affect the sound but these are 2 different worlds.
  6. FZD - will he rise to the top?

CT is completely different animal compared to international competition. I would not draw any conclusions from CT. Btw, I think Wang Chuqin will be the man to beat.
  7. What blade Darko Jorgic playing at Europe top 16 cup.

I doubt it is a Dyneema-based blade. it certainly doesn't sound like the official Tibhar racket that I've been playing with for a couple of weeks out of curiosity. Actually, I think it is another alc-based blade just like the one used by Liam Pitchford.
  8. Why do I get so nervous when playing a match?

Everyone is nervous. The thing is how you handle it. And to quote one of my favorite coaches - Everyone chokes, it is about who chokes less in important moments. I would say - play as much as you can, get battle experience. At one point you will get there, you will learn how to calm nervousness...
  9. Acoustic 82g vs 90g?

It depends on how the mass is distributed. Impacts more if in the head of the racket, less if in the handle - Ceteris Paribus 3 grams are not much. The racket easily gets 3 grams when played in warm and / or wet conditions. Atmospheric moisture and sweat penetrate the wood.
  10. Looking for a blade with control and touch

I would definitely recommend Aruna OFF. Brilliant blade. Not easy to find though
  11. Introduce yourself to the forum! :)

Hello everyone, I'm Bob. I started playing table tennis more seriously with the beginning of the pandemic. I play local tournaments and leagues. I have won third place in a local tournament, I still don't know how. I played tennis for decades and was a hopeless EJ case. And I still am. I had 33...
  12. What song are u listening to now?

London Grammar - If You Wait
  13. Table tennis is the most difficult and frustrating sport I have ever played

I am not frustrated just analytical. Those SP/LP/AS are a handicap and not an advantage when a certain level of play is reached. But until you reach that level, the sport is full of frustration because you're being beaten by someone who wouldn't have beaten you in 10 other sports. I just think...
  14. LF: Used rubbers for my blade Aruna OFF+

Than that blade is also a bit advanced for your style. Try Aruna OFF, it is superb, or something similar. It is going to be much easier to loop.
  15. Table tennis is the most difficult and frustrating sport I have ever played

Table tennis is difficult to learn and the process is very slow. I have played tennis for decades and in terms of competition the sport is no nonsense. Unlike tennis, table tennis has materials, long pips, short pips, antispin. The equipment gives an advantage that is rarely seen in the world of...
  16. Describe your very first feeling after playing with Tenergy

First, last and current feeling is that I am not good enough. However, it is incredibly fun to play with Tenergy rubbers. Is still play with them from time to time but not in competitive matches.
  17. Viscaria alternatives

Same here, yinhe felt very glassy to me, unpleasant to play with.
  18. Viscaria alternatives

After trying a million rackets I can say that Viscaria has no alternative IF you like that feel, feedback, etc. And if you buy Viscaria right away, you'll actually save money because you won't be experimenting, buying and selling... And the suggestion above is very good - find used Viscaria.
  19. Butterfly officially announces Glazer and Glazer 09C

Rozena V2.0 I hope it plays better.
  20. Butterfly Super ZLC blade - genuine or fake?

I tried dozens of rackets and twice as many rubbers. what I learned unequivocally is that there are no shortcuts. More expensive rackets have better processing, better veneers, better feel, better feedback. If you like arylate from Butterfly there is simply no alternative imho. Personally...
