Any reason you went with Armstrong Compress 5 instead of Super Castillian? Both are single ply hinoki right? And I think Masamune is a 3 ply ya? DS90 you can still get them but the prices have definately risen. Most stores have sold out but I know some places that still sells them online.

Hi, just got my hands on this Mizuno Single Ply Hinoki. It is 8mm thick and weighs 126gm. I didnt open the handle cover since it feels so comfortable, and i dont feel any lens underneath. Hard to find information on this particular blade. If anyone knows, can please share more?
