  1. Life, Existence, and the Meaning of Long Pips - The Opus Maximus of James Z

You literally specified that they use high aspect ratio super long pips. Where does that include inverted rubber? This I found strange since in my opinion it would cripple their game more than if they used their boosted inverted rubbers that they use normally. No. Your idea of level playing...
  2. Satoshi Aida's equiptment

His blade is Yasaka Masamune, and he plays with black Rising Dragon and red Rakza 7 I believe. But the Rakza 7 I am not sure anymore, it could be Rakza Z or X too but he used to play with Rakza 7.
  3. Life, Existence, and the Meaning of Long Pips - The Opus Maximus of James Z

Hou Ying Chao nad Chen Weixing can only use high aspect ratio super long pips on both sides? Or they are allowed to use their boosted inverted rubber too? How is that fair playing field?
  4. Don't blame the rubber if you don't get enough spin.

Actually, I always thought the wind that my swing creates influences the "incoming" ball especially when someone is lobbing and the ball has very little kinetic energy and when my swing creates the strongest wind and this is one of the reasons why it's not that difficult to make an error.
  5. Anyone have a sneak peak of Glayzer yet?

You got me red-handed here, I meant calibrated machines. In my defense I was looking at cute puppy videos before so I was still daydreaming about them.
  6. Don't blame the rubber if you don't get enough spin.

Sorry, yes the player in black.
  7. Don't blame the rubber if you don't get enough spin.

I think this is his latest one. https://deltamotion.com/peter/TT/Jeff%20and%20Peter%20with%20Blocking%20LP%202min.mp4
  8. Life, Existence, and the Meaning of Long Pips - The Opus Maximus of James Z

You can just look into the dressing room before playing. Don't even need a test for it.
  9. Good source of insoles for sport shoes

I like these ones too. They can be bought in DM for like 10 EUR. But the DM own brand gel soles are not too bad either. But they both make your shoes weigh significantly more.
  10. Moon Speed 53 vs Moon Pro

Moon Speed soft has 49-004 ITTF approval code, does the 53 have different? For sure the sponges are different, I am with you on that and their release date is like 7-8 years apart so the sponge should be different. If you have the enthusiasm to try the soft version I would love to hear your...
  11. Anyone have a sneak peak of Glayzer yet?

48g cut to DHS head, probably around 47g cut to standard BTY head. 09c about a 1g heavier. They are both light. One more thing, Glayzers have different smell than Rozena or Tenergy or Dignics, they smell more like natural rubber, which is pretty bonkers since they feel like they have a lot of...
  12. Moon Speed 53 vs Moon Pro

I enjoyed the Moon Speed Soft (35deg) rubber the most of all the Moon series, and I believe due to lack of glue at that time I used speedglue to glue it on but not before using it, like probably a day before using it. So I am not sure if the speedglue made the difference even after 24 hours or...
  13. Rubber that comes closest to Rakza 7

Nittaku describes G-1 as grip first. And I am 100% with them on it, no matter what racket angle or speed you have the rubber tries to grip the ball first and then you have more possibility to decide how to control your shot. Of course we're talking about milliseconds here but the feeling of it...
  14. DHS W968 review

I want to come back to the W968 and I am totally not reading back what I wrote so I actually might contradict myself from before. But that is the beauty of just saying what you think at the moment. I don't mind contradicting myself in the slightest. One thing that I noticed is that the 2nd...
  15. Latika vs offensive S

I don't know where the Offensive S is made (probably China), but it's an allwood blade are not particularly difficult to make well and Chinese made blades are good. I think Scarfed gave you the most important point is the handle. But if you are not picky about that (which you should be in my...
  16. Anyone have a sneak peak of Glayzer yet?

If you have a strong swing it's probably very good. If you don't have a strong swing D09c is much better. If you don't wanna spend G-1, Rozena, Tenergy...
  17. Rubber that comes closest to Rakza 7

I think G-1 would be the cheapest option and most similar. G-1 may be more expensive but its durability is unmatched so far. So maybe it costs more but the longer lifespan makes it cheaper :3 Rozeana is also a pretty good choice. Many people like to hate on it, but they are just haters. It's a...
  18. Life, Existence, and the Meaning of Long Pips - The Opus Maximus of James Z

This is a nice collection of the rule changes. I do not agree with the "fake booster ban". We now have fake boosters, they banned the real boosters in 2008.
  19. Anyone have a sneak peak of Glayzer yet?

I was sick the past few weeks, probably Covid, but who knows so last Friday I tested the Glayzers and since I'm not in training much on today's match I was like frack it I will play with them. Pretty much yolo, but they felt good on Friday so it wasn't totally baseless. Just some observations...
  20. Don't blame the rubber if you don't get enough spin.

Well, in case he means people should be able to produce sufficient spin against him with a dead rubber I think that is a valid statement. For that purpose 80rev/sec is sufficient. Maybe a beach sandal would be sufficient equipment. I do feel bad about saying this since I don't like to belittle...
