  1. Share your Racket's Photo

    Gorgeous weapon there, brother.
  2. The Dark Side is getting more and more tempting...

Then dark side has taken over most players at one of the clubs in my city. They were frustrated with their backhand and lack of ability to return serve. One day, a sith came to teach them about the dark side. The temptation for power was just too much them I think. Alas, I still have them in my...
  3. transfer training into competition

Take him to all kinds of competition you can get him into. Drills can only get you so far and experience in the field is more important than just a drill. I was shitty at serve receive but through many competitions, I forced myself to read the serve of my opponents or else I'd lose easily. Had...
  4. How much training and how to train to become a professional?

I don't know much about private training or group training because I never had any legitimate training to begin with. Most of the time I learn from YouTube and advices from other players around me. What I truly believe is you need a good variety of training partners/ opponents. There was a time...
  5. Need more advices on how to further improve forehand stroke

Thank you for sharing your multiple balls training videos everyone. Multiball training is something that I have never experienced through my training. Should be able to use your videos and training ideas to improve better.
  6. How to stop loop and pray

You should do forehand loop warm up often. Something like this. Shameless of me to do this but hehehe My forehand is much stronger than my backhand so I try to get good consistency from my loop like this. Just last week I lost confidence on my forehand loop. To get the feel back, I spent my...
  7. Is D09c bad for brush-looping?

For me, I have always loop by compressing the sponge. The only difference is the ball contact and how I hit it. Upward movement for lifting backspin and forward to give more force and end the point. Even when I tried my friend's 09C, I don't really feel that much difference from my usual rubber...
  8. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Wew, today I managed to convince two more people to change their blade to a slower one. Had them try my blade and they were loving it. Both are loopers, strong on the forehand but weak on the backhand. One of them is using Yinhe Pro 11S and the other is using Butterfly Mazunov. They were...
  9. I want to upgrade

Loki V5 is very cheap or Yinhe N12. Both are cheap blades but quality is good. Personally, I'm using V5. It's good enough for my level and I think it will be good enough for you too. As for rubbers, volant phoenix from double fish is also a solid choice. It does everything well and quite durable.
  10. Is D09c bad for brush-looping?

Really? As someone who's been using Chinese rubber as my forehand rubber, I brush and spin the ball with 09C quite well. I still get the same amount of spin from the rubber. The only downside I experienced from hybrid rubbers, even 09C, is I don't feel its impact on the sponge as if it doesn't...
  11. What is the best ESN Hybrid rubber for FH?

Good luck. TMXi Pro should be fast enough even with an unboosted H3.
  12. Nittaku Hurricane Pro 3 Turbo Blue

Seems like it's a rubber worth trying. The only question is is it any better than a boosted h3 or vega china?
  13. What a beautiful racket. Also, my cleanest rubber cut so far.

It's black and blue because it would make your opponent black and blue too
  14. Move your legs more, attach two tables!!

Close. A bit less scream but more choleeee
  15. What is the best ESN Hybrid rubber for FH?

In my experience, it's similar. I don't find any difference serving with either Vega China or H3. Both are loaded with spin and I think I put more spin on the serve with vega china than with h3. You should try the rubber if you can get it. Try it yourself and maybe you'll love it. Only reason...
  16. Move your legs more, attach two tables!!

Looking at this training, I wonder why people still think TT is an easy sport. I do Muay Thai regularly and a simple three points FH loop is killing me that I'd rather hit the sandbag, lol This? This would kill me after the first ten balls.
  17. Advice against annoying style

Unorthodox players are hard to deal with, I agree. Whenever I'm up against this kind of player, I always make sure I play it safe first, force the game into a rally and then attack from the back. Unorthodox players tend to be weaker in rallies and bombing them with topspin from the back works...
  18. What is the best ESN Hybrid rubber for FH?

I have tried Vega China, Rakza Z, and Omega 7 China Yin. In my opinion, Vega China is the best hybrid rubber. It feels similar to boosted Hurricane 3 and dare I say, give me better spin than boosted Hurricane 3. Alas, it's hard to find that rubber now. I can use it for forehand and backhand no...
  19. Video Footage Safe Thread

Much appreciated, sir. As you've pointed out, I tend to serve to the backhand side of my opponent. I personally think it has become a habit due to the matches I had with one of the members where she has this really nasty spin on her backhand push. It's so heavy. Being younger back then, I always...
  20. Video Footage Safe Thread

I assure you sir, a week ago he blocked my loops like he's the second coming of Oh Sang Eun. I lost confidence in my forehand and that's why I decided to upload my vid here. Thank you so much for your kind words.
