Comp tmr.. I am feeling quite nervous/restless. Anyone has any tips how to stay calm / perform the best? I am trying to maintain a more neutral attitude and not put too much pressure on myself. I feel I have the ability to win it but depends on my performance as well, since it will be best of...
  2. World Table Tennis Championships 2023

HK team lost 2-3 :/ They were leading 2-1 but then suffered defeat. Hoping now that Wong CT and Doo HK will do better in mixed doubles.

  4. World Table Tennis Championships 2023

The Hong Kong Doubles team (Wong, Ho) played well against UK team (Walker, Jarvis) and is through to round of 32, but will face the German pair (Dima, Patrick). Will be another tough one.

Nice one NextLevel! Good work getting 4th on doubles too, especially when your partner is significantly lower ranked than you. Be interesting to see your footages.

I've been trying the elbow up with the pendulum serve as per NextLevel. I can now do light topspin. It works quite nice, where I have been able to get a few popped up receives and works as a deception as follow through after a backspin one too.
  7. Does sweat getting into the handle of the blade really increases its weight?

My hands sweat quite a lot, but I don't notice the weigh difference apart from it being bit more slippery. It should dry off after playing.
  8. Winning matches at a lower level?

All very good points. I think one additional thing you can do is to analyse your opponent before the match, knowing the strengths/weakness of both of you, and play to your advantage. It is easier if you have played them before and have recorded the match, but you can also watch them from the...

Went to gym today, first time after returning to rural in 2 weeks. Just did everything but cautious of injuring myself. So I did most stuff but at a slightly lower weight in my first set. I wanted to finish with cardio but there was someone using the recombent bike, so I gave it a miss. I will...
  10. Rozena vs. Rakza 7?

I heard the rumour about how rubbers only exist if you find a former China pro, but luckily the provincial rubbers appeared on the market not long after xD Yeah there are rumours that the blue is faster/bouncier/ able to generate more power with higher skills / harder to control than the orange...
  11. Rozena vs. Rakza 7?

Apologies for going off topic to discuss Hurricane rubbers, but my understanding between the different versions of H3neo is that the higher priced versions (National and provincial) have undergone more quality control to ensure that they are more consistent in the quality. So you can buy a...

  15. Beginner Setup Advice

Hi Njai! To keep the cost low, I don't have any suggestion for backhand, but if you like looping with forehand and want to develop with it, then you can't really go wrong with hurricane 3 neo! Welcome to the forum!
  16. Which blade breaks easier, the flexible or the stiff?

Better ask the famous pro(s) that does it in real matches.
  17. Does Rakza 7 generate good spin?

Thanks, does it also mean it is harder to control?
  18. Does Rakza 7 generate good spin?

How about Rakza X? How does it compare to R7?
  19. Yan An hook serve

I will have to focus on the forearm bit as I have only been using the wrist mainly to do the 'wrapping'. Might be what I am missing.
