I was also suprised that he didn't use his trusty Viscaria, but given the Butterfly shirts and the table I think he or the match was sponsored by Butterfly. At least he's still using a Hurricane and not a Tenergy like he was using in his last official game against Apolonia. I still don't get...

Yeah the resolution is okay and even the bitrate is ok, but the frames are way too low. I don't know why there's always something wrong with ITTF's stream instead of continuously improving and learning from previous mistakes. It's like I'm watching on an old PC which is way too slow to render...

Nope, 720p with seemingly 15 fps is all you can get from https://tv.ittf.com/ sportdeutschland.tv had a better stream, but unfortunately they don't show the German Open.

At least now on table 1 which is moderated they improved the angle a little bit. I still don't know why they just don't always use this angle, the most important thing for ITTF, the banner, is still in the picture.

Could be. My only experience with Haifu Seamoon booster is from prott.cc and I've never really gotten any real reaction from my rubbers from this stuff. I've ordered Falco booster from a polish shop for 20 Euros and will try that.

I'm always sceptical about nationals versions, even from official DHS online shop or retailers to be honest. But what about the provincial versions of DHS Hurricane? What's the probabilty that these are the real deal? Is the orange sponge version more probalbe to be genuine than the blue sponge...

Oh wow, Fan Zhendong is back to Butterfly and even switched to Diginics? I really thought the coaches or some higherups succeeded with making all top players, male or female, try to play with DHS rubbers, probably for political reasons.

Adam Bobrow commented on this during a break. The problem was that the lightning was used to light up 4 tables and improved significantly once they only needed to light up 2 tables.

And even with a slightly better resoution than the official ITTV stream (960x540) to sportdeutschald.tv (1280x720)! Wow thank you. Because there's no registration/authentication necessary, I can copy the stream link into VLC media player and don't have to use the website/flash stuff, very nice!

To be honest, I'm sad that they have to play against each other next round. Too bad it couldn't have been delayed by one round, then there could've been 3 German players in the semi finals :cool:
