  1. How to improve from 2000 to 2200

I think the best solution is still to provide a video of your match or practice? Players i’ve seen around 2200 are more consistent. Many of 1900-2000 players i’ve met are very power oriented while the 2100+ put nastier push variation and loop positioning.
  2. Advise for better (and slower) set-up

Try FastArc G1 on FH with EL-P on BH G1 is a great rubber if you can loop with power
  3. Butterfly Tenergy 05 HARD review

Does the T05 Hard have mor catapult effect that T05 in soft hits (serve, block, push) or the power only comes out when you're doing hard hit (looping, smacking)?
  4. Butterfly Tenergy 05 Hard

I hope someone who has the T05 Hard can make a comparison to FastArc G-1 and Omega VII Tour since it seems like those 2 rubbers are the ones with the same specificiafion as the T05 Hard I’m that type of FH Rambo, which is why i actually liked FastArc G1 over T05 on FH Harder sponge also just...
  5. Treiber Z rubbers

Try FastArc G1 if you want a higher throw mxp. Slightly less reactive with the speed on slow touch but really comes alive when you power loop with it
  6. Blade faster than Timo Boll Spirit

ZLC is faster but on a very insignificant margin. I'd recommend going to a Super ZLC blade or perhaps Carbonado 2xx series
  7. Lifting Backspin - chinese or european rubber?

Euro / Jap rubbers are easier, especially those that are fast and have high throw like EL-S, Tenergy 05 and FastArc G1. But, once you have mastered the proper technique to do it, chinese rubber like hurricane 3 produces nastier balls with really spinny, fast and low arc-ed balls
  8. Blade upgrade

There’s also dhs pg5, really nice woody feel with carbon sweet spot
  9. Fast and soft setup blade and rubber options

Probably innerforce zlc with tenergy 05fx on both sides
  10. Advice about butterfly allround blades

If you want butterfly blade, get the primorac off- But dont get sriver, they are horrible rubbers for 40+ and feels too different compared to tensor rubbers. I recommend getting something like rasanter r42 or tibhar fx-p instead
  11. Please help me to select and build a paddle

When in doubt, go with butterfly primorac or korbel. The rubbers can be softer rubber like bluefire m3, rasanter v42, goldarc 5 or equivanlents. I dont recommend hurricane if you are not athletic
  12. POLL : Is theoretical discussion worth it ?

Some people in this forum will write a whole thesis paper to someone asking how to do simple forehand loop Some people will comment how they are doing this spin or that spin when on the video they are swinging like chicken. I just avoid talking too much about theory in general unless you can...
  13. Tenergy 05 alternative

Another +1 for the fastarc g1. It's a different rubber feeling wise to tenergy, but IMO it's almost as good
  14. Probably the best 40+ ball ? Nittaku Premium (MIJ)

I’ve stopped using them for months now. Too expensive for casual play and it will break rather quickly.
  15. Please help me to select and build a paddle

I recommend tibhar samsonov alpha with rakza 7 on both sides. Since you have injury, having a really slow paddle might not help since you don't have full range of movement from the elbow
  16. Short pips and tenergy - best blade

I would recommend freitas alc over boll alc. i believe limba outerply typically plays better with pips
  17. Blade and Rubber recommendations for Intermediate Offensive player?

I would recommend something like rasanter r42 on both sides
  18. Czech Open 2018

Just watched the samsonov vs harimoto and it struck me how we're not going to see the table tennis I grew up watching anymore. It's not about putting a lot of spin on a ball anymore compared to smacking back the ball as soon as possible
  19. Blade and Rubber recommendations for Intermediate Offensive player?

Please don't. Mark V is just a horrible rubber to play with in the 40+ era. It literally has no grip at all. I don't think Infinity VPS and rasant grip is too fast at all, if you're being trained / training properly.
  20. Acoustic or petr korbel?

In terms of all-wood blade feeling, nothing is better than acoustic for me. You might want to get the large handle though since the normal acoustic handle is really small
