  1. New blade help for beginner / intermediate player

The thing about butterfly blades is that they're really easy to re-sell. IMO Stratus power wood feels numb even with tenergy that generally gives a lot of feedback from the blade. Primorac off- is one of the most recommended blades for beginners. It's one of those "can't go wrong with this"...
  2. New blade help for beginner / intermediate player

My recommendation is to go with an all-around 5-ply all wood blade. Primorac off- would be a great option but if you want a cheaper alternative, tibhar samsonov alpha plays really similarly to primorac off- Blades like primorac off- and samsonov alpha are excellent for beginners and you can...
  3. Xiom setup

Vega japan is already as fast as T05 though T05 has more lower and higher gears IMO
  4. Xiom setup

My suggestion is to ask your coach. Personally I think allaround S with vega japan is plenty fast enough for beginners
  5. Who's playstyle do you ADMIRE the most?

ZJK and WLQ, their table tennis are simply efficient and beautiful to watch
  6. Flared or straight?

IMO it all comes down to preference. I prefer ST over FL because i hold my paddle quiet loosely and it feels nicer for general BH movement. Then again, I'm comparing BTY's ST and FL.
  7. proud of me now?

Much original. You'll just play like a pro now.
  8. Help in deciding blade!

Go with xiom offensive S if you want all wood. Go with Donic Baum Esprit for carbon blade. I tried Donic Baum Esprit and it feels really good for a TBS / ALC clone for $50-60
  9. T05 and MX-P comparison.

MX-P and T05 like everyone is saying are similar in terms of how they play however they are 2 different rubbers. MX-P for me is a rubber that utilizes a lot of its tensioned topsheet to create the spin and speed it has. I like MX-P a lot for driving / punching and blocking in general. The...
  10. Picking a tenergy for my backhand

Given that you use 05fx on the FH, my recommendation is probably 80fx although my favouritr setup is T05 on both sides
  11. What rubber fits well on FH for a hurricane long 3 blade

If I'm not mistaken, H. Long 3 has the same composition as the TBS which means in general plenty or even almost all tensor rubbers and chinese rubbers would work just fine on it
  12. Need help for Jpen rubber.

Tibhar MX-S is pretty linear for me. It plays a bit more like chinese rubbers where a lot of brushing motion are required
  13. My Mizutani Super ZLC Plus Tenergy 05

Yep the trinity blades in SE Asia basically. I'm from SE Asia myself and I used to use Schlager carbon with Omega IV Pro. I miss the days of smashing with that setup...
  14. Help choosing a new blade+rubber setup

Vega Pro and Europe is pretty fast but they're what I'd call very controllable rubbers. If you do feel like the 2 rubbers are too quick, I recommend switching back to Mark V on both sides. As for the blade, Primo power feeling is a good blade and tbh I don't think you need a slower one...
  15. My Mizutani Super ZLC Plus Tenergy 05

Yep. Afterall, tenergy is all about the sponge.
  16. My Mizutani Super ZLC Plus Tenergy 05

I don't know the core difference between michael maze and MJ SZLC but I own both and MJ SZLC definitely has less dwell time
  17. My Mizutani Super ZLC Plus Tenergy 05

Classic SE Asians setup, Primorac carbon or gergely lol
  18. Problems gluing Tenergy rubbers

My suggestion right now is probably to grab either nittaku finezip or stiga attach glue from a reputable table tennis store (or website), make sure your blade isn't sealed or anything, remove all glue residue from the rubber and then just apply 2 layers of glue to the rubber, 1 layer to the...
  19. Problems gluing Tenergy rubbers

I'm not 100% sure about it, but I have a suspicion it's caused by the cold weather in the ware house or during delivery. I ordered BTY free chack from amazon recently with people saying how it sticks like crazy. Usually with donic vario glue i'd put 2 layers on rubber, 1 layer on blade and it'd...
  20. My Mizutani Super ZLC Plus Tenergy 05

The logo and name players were custom pressed. You could buy the national team t-shirts (which costs like $70-90) though from tt-japan The amazing thing is how a setup that's so fast still could have plenty of feedback and control
