  1. Returning player (AR+/OFF–) looking for versatile rubbers for Xiom Hugo HAL [no longer: Cybershape Wood]

I'd order them like this from most bouncy to least: Vega X > Rakza 7> G1 almost the same as C1. But for me its less about power needed to engage, but better control on lower powered shots. It's hard to explain; I feel g1/c1 are better at shots that need more power. I think Rakza 7 is a little...
  2. Returning player (AR+/OFF–) looking for versatile rubbers for Xiom Hugo HAL [no longer: Cybershape Wood]

Rakza 7 durable and easy to play. The topsheet is a bit softer than G1 which makes it a bit easier to engage properly on lower powered shots. Fastarc C1 also an option, slightly softer than G1. You can good deals on Fastarc coming black friday. Butterfly Glayzer and Rozena are also durable...
  3. Help a newbie out on some questions on my setup

I think both rubbers are viable for beginners. Moon 12 is very easy to play and forgiving. It may be faster than Mercury 2, but is also less sensitive to spin. I don't think either will hinder you to develop your game.
  4. finding budget BH rubber for PLYwood7

My favorite budget bh rubber is yinhe moon 12. I use m+ with one layer of seamoon, but it's totally fine without
  5. Donic Anders Lind Hexa vs Nittaku Septear Feel Inner

Tbose are very different blades. Depends on your preference. I like koto blades over limba. Hence I'd prefer the anders lind blade
  6. Help a newbie out on some questions on my setup

You're overthinking this. Get anything not to extreme and train. This was just a budget option. There are many options, but they don't matter to a beginner. That said. Mercury 2 is just very easy to play and the best budget rubber out there IMO.
  7. Help a newbie out on some questions on my setup

M2 way easier to play, softer, slower, higher trow, bit more bounce on medium strokes. Also cheaper. You'll switch rubber regularly, so don't overthink it. If you don't like it, try something else in a few months. Feedback on U2 is good. It will vibrate on stronger shots.
  8. Help a newbie out on some questions on my setup

Personally I dont like the quality and feel of these cheaper Loki blades. I have the k1, k6 and k7. Yinhe has better quality overall. The U2 will be a little faster solid all+/off-, better sweetspot, better build quality. It pairs well with many rubbers, has nice feel, medium flex.
  9. Help a newbie out on some questions on my setup

IMO get a different blade. Yinhe U2 ask for a light one at around 90g. This is the best budget blade you can get. And quality is superior to many more expensive blades. FH Yinhe mercury 2 medium BH Yinhe Moon 12 medium soft Im not a Yinhe fanboy per se, but U2 is the most used beginner blade...
  10. Budget-friendly replacement for old Tibhar Evolution MX-S?

Loki Telson 100 is very spinny and fast for around 20€ they are a steal if you can live the weight. Also Stiga Mantra pro is quite cheap on AliX at around 30€ and this rubber is a beast. IMO this rubber is better than most ESN grippy rubbers.
  11. Lower level player (sub 1400) using ALC + 09C vs more controlled equipment?

Jeah there's many options and opinions on good substitutes for boosted hurricane. To me the closest that doesn't need booster is Loki Arthur China. Many also like double fish volant phoenix or yinhe jupiter 3 without booster. The later two are also available in softer hardness for backhand if...
  12. Lower level player (sub 1400) using ALC + 09C vs more controlled equipment?

Yasaka extra offensive with boosted h3 fh (or any suitable substitute that doesn't need boosting) plus xiom vega europe bh
  13. Yinhe Pro 01, 03, 05 Series Review

Sanwei 75 inner, it has a thicker core though
  14. What is the top ply wood surface of Yinhe 980 Defensive blade.

If I remember correctly its a 5ply ayous blade. But the glue is relatively hard.
  15. Changing to lp rubber

If you know what suits you, why are you bothering this forum? 388d-1 is the most played LP ever. It's very affordable no harm done, if the playstyle doesn't fit you. It's slow enough to play it on faster blades.
  16. Changing to lp rubber

Dawei 388d-1 with 0.5mm sponge. Can do everything relatively good and is easy to play. You really don't need to spend more than this to get 95% of what more expensive LPs can give you. Have no clou how it plays on these blades. Should be ok on the wood one. Personally I prefer harder outerplys...
  17. Yinhe Pro 01, 03, 05 Series Review

Double Fish Dragon 1 is a very nice blade with ZLC
  18. Tips against long pips

Some long pips are good at varying the spin, like Victas p1r and Butterfly Feint Long 2 and 3. Others have more max reversal. With something like Tibhar Grass Dtecs it's harder to vary the spin. It's good to know the most common played LPs and their characteristics. Also play with a bit more...
  19. What's the natural upgrade from G1 and C1?

Depends on what you want or need. Other rubbers will not be hugely advanced compared to what you have. Don't expect huge jumps in performance from here on out. Fastarcs are very good rubbers. Most players don't need another rubber than this, if they are not looking for rubber with other (not...
