https://www.tabletennisengland.co.uk/wanted-table-tennis-players-to-star-alongside-hollywood-heartthrob-timothee-chalamet/ Saw this on the TTE for a movie about Marty Reisman which happens to have timothee chalamet in it. Says it calls for a british white male, 40-50yo, highly competitive...
  2. How to do spinny serves with H3 Neo?

Because H3 has a harder rubber, you need to find the perfect speed to use on the serve. Too slow and you won't use get the same velocity for a good serve, and too fast you won't be able to use the whole rubber surface for spin. So my advice is the practice using the advantages of H3 by really...
  3. Stay on Chinese Rubbers or give Tensor Rubbers more days?

The reason why tensors are popular is that; A- people start out with playing with tensors and; B- people lack the power or quality of shot to use chinese rubbers, so use tensor. So if thats none of your issues, then don't use tensor rubbers! However, it is popular to use a tensor/hybrid on thr...
  4. Paris Olympic Games 2024

He's got around 3-4 Olympics left to redeem himself- not that he has to redeem himself- maybe just write off the myth in his head that he failed Japan.
  5. TTD, Revspin, review sites are all missing key metric

Yeah, i started not to trust the main statistics part of the reviews and only go to the written ones, because often the rubber does not reflect the stats shown on revspin. There are so many factors to add in and quite often peoole forget that.
  6. How stiff is Viscaria actually?

I have a similar experience with TB, when I was buying my Ovtcharov ALC, i compared it with a Viscaria and it felt very similiar.
  7. Why Truls Möregårdh was so good?

He always plays well in non WTT tournaments. European cup, olympics, 2021 World champs. Maybe he has something against WTT
  8. Recommended BH rubbers for an inner carbon blade

Yeah 09c helps in the short game a lot. I would switch to 09c on bh, but i prefer the more stable 05 for blocking and passive play.
  9. What are your favourite hybrid rubbers?

For me, 09c beats all hybrids. Its just the perfect combo of everything for everything.

  14. Which Rubbers suit me?

Hurricane is a different kind of fast, in a way. I know it sounds obvious, but you need to put more power in to make it go faster. On its own, say in the blocking game, it is quite slow. For some this is too extreme while for some it is perfect. For example, as you are familiar with d09c, during...
  15. Any attempt to play in an competitive environment ruins this sport for me (rant)

I don't want to force you to make any decisions, but the club treating you like that is pretty ridiculous. Putting the success of certain teams above your happiness while playing is definately a red flag. Maybe joining another team in the area may help, as they can judge purely on you gameplay...
  16. Which Rubbers suit me?

Maybe rakza z would be a good option, as you said you want a softer rubber, that is faster than glayser. Hurricane without booster is slow, spinny and hard, which is the opposite of what you wanted, so i would avoid it if i were you. However, if you can afford it, dignics 09c is the arguably...
  17. Anti players from Taiwan

  18. Best multiball drills?

If you are struggling with high backhands but your footwork is good, if you slightly anticipate the shot, you should be able to move round and hit a forehand right? For multiball the falkenberg is a good one.
  19. Dry boosting -- safe boosting.

Igor is like that friend in when they fall over, you can never tell if they are crying or laughing... I can't tell if igor is serious or not.
  20. Side spin theory

Normally in the higher game, sidespin is sort of numbed out by back or topspin. What you want to do is to remember return patterns. For example, normally a short touch is played down the line, while anything wide is often played crosscourt.
