  1. Another EJ thread... with some twist

Not much experience here, but i think that a balsa blade could come in handy. Its got the thickness of a jpen but not the weight, which could help a veteran. Balsa also is good with pips. Maybe I'm wrong here. A medium balance blade could help the engage the use of the wrist on the backhand as...
  2. Need your help in BH rubber.

(Only commenting on Dignics 05 and Tenergy, the only ones i am familiar with) If you are a person who doesn't play with a full backhand swing; staying close to the table and blocking, T05fx is the better option. If you like to step back and whip a xu xin backhand onto the table(and have the time...
  3. Need your help in BH rubber.

05 or 19 fx if you want to go the softer option
  4. Need your help in BH rubber.

Dignics 05 and Tenergy 05/fx are good
  5. Tenergy 05 Hard vs Dignics 80 for forehand

Yeah, you can get loads of spon on a simple, minimal motion, pendulum serve, and with a full swing backhand serve, you can get tons more. Definitely worth the(hefty) price
  6. What’s your most satisfying moment in table tennis?

One of the most satisfying thing is hitting a backhand winner after wide forehand(Pocket Rocket style), hitting a backhand loop far away from the table in a loop to loop rally and hitting a counter smash when fishing. Also any around the net is also nice.
  7. Best place to buy TT stuff in the UK?

Bribar, thorntons and teesport are probably the best option as they deliver relatively quickly and all have the same price.
  8. Advancing Table Tennis Robots: PongFox Tests Service & Return Feature - Thoughts?

Does one of the amicus robots have a feature when it hears you serve, it can return it? I'm pretty sure I heard that somewhere.
  9. Thoughts on External Carbon blades?

Same, I like the feeling of a wood blade or inner carbon, because as you hit a shot, you can feel the contact better, and if that shot goes wrong , you know why. With outer carbon blades, a lot of feeling is lost for a small change in speed; not really worth it for me.
  10. Thoughts on External Carbon blades?

By external carbon, do you mean that the carbon is the first ply? Or is it like an outer carbon where the carbon is the 2nd ply?
  11. Unique grip styles

There's a few variations of certain grips such as Japanese penhold. I found this article explaining many gripshttps://www.greenpaddle.com/blogs/posts/different-types-of-table-tennis-grips
  12. Suggestions for video to inspire new, young players

Anything Koki Niwa, his way of play is just unique and fantastic
  13. Most tacky top sheet rubber in your experience.

DHS G555. I have a bat with it on the backhand and Hurricane 3 neo on forehand. G555 is so much tackier than Hurricane and is quite fun to play with.
  14. Sponge Hardness new Video

I did not know that G09c came in at 54 degrees. I have D09c and H3 and they fo seem similar, so your probably right that H3 is around 54 degrees. Maybe I should try out Glayzer and compare it to D09c and D05.
  15. Improving Third Ball Play After Service in Table Tennis

Something that can really help develop your 3rd ball attack is serving serves that limit the amount of returns. This shaves down the possibilities and then you can attack from there. I get what you mean about people recognising what you're going to do though. This is why you don't force an...
  16. 4 Tables = 4 Times the fun

Indeed. One thing about training hard is that you still want to enjoy the game of table tennis. You don't want to train so hard and often that playing table tennis feels like a chore that you are forced to do. Thats why having fun in pro training is very good for mental health of players.
  17. Life, Existence, and the Meaning of Long Pips - The Opus Maximus of James Z

My opinion on pips; short pips are acceptable, and quite fun to play with. No-one uses medium. Long pips are only good for choppers. If you are going to stand there are block everything with your long pips then thats when i get annoyed.
  18. CNT candidate misses first four serves vs Seo Hyo Won in recent match

I played a long pips player recently and I did pretty well, with a few tactics. 1. Serve long backspin to long pips side, it will come back as topspin, and you can attack from there. 2. Attack with precision, target wide(to non pips side) or cross over. This will either give you a winner or set...
