  1. Is spin a bigger factor in table tennis compared to tennis? Its been posted on line that rafa nadal has achieved 3200 rpm in his topspin shots...

It's now 2025. Admitting any mistake on the internet is the wrong move. You should double down on your assertion and then start a conspiracy theory about how "big table tennis" has brainwashed everyone into believing it has the most spin in racket sports. Then pat yourself on the back about how...
  2. Wood grain on outer layers

Just a small warning from my own personal experience with a 75 Inner with that sort of fishscale pattern. I didn't seal the blade thinking the hardness of koto would keep me safe. But it splintered very slightly on my first rubber change. The splintering happened along the vertical axis or the...
  3. WTT Singapore Smash 2025 (30 Jan ~ 9 Feb 2025)

Pretty shitty draw for JNT men with 3 of the 4 semifinalists of All Japan all in the same quarterbracket.
  4. 2025 All Japan (Emperor's/Empress's Cup) 1/21-1/26

The whole point of quoting is for precise attribution. If you need people to first learn a foreign language in order for them to understand the point you're making, then you're being an incredibly ineffective communicator.
  5. 2025 All Japan (Emperor's/Empress's Cup) 1/21-1/26

He ain't wrong. There are only a few names, all Chinese, who I thought could realistically beat Odo and Miwa by a combined game score of 8-0. Now I have to add Hayata to that list because I just saw it with my own eyes. Did she actually level up her play during that injury break, or has she...
  6. 2025 All Japan (Emperor's/Empress's Cup) 1/21-1/26

Looking like WCQ a few times in the service department too. No hate here. Sora didn't need any help with the way he was playing. To me it seems pretty apparent that his skill ceiling is far higher than anyone else for Team Japan. Problem up to this point is that he's shown in flashes and...
  7. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Maybe give it a few hours to break in. I recently glued a new sheet of regular LAC and it felt dead initially. Though I got a bunk sheet. But after a while it started to play like the LAC I remembered.
  8. 2025 All Japan (Emperor's/Empress's Cup) 1/21-1/26

Surprised but glad Haruna came back to win that. She was down 2 games to 1 at the time I had to run out for an appointment. That said, I was hoping she'd show some more improvement over the past year or two. Her FH attacks that she spends so much effort setting up she ends up missing an...
  9. 2025 All Japan (Emperor's/Empress's Cup) 1/21-1/26

On top of that you also got Japanese kira-kira names which adds another layer of weirdness.
  10. 2025 All Japan (Emperor's/Empress's Cup) 1/21-1/26

Watching Miku play is wild. She's the most emotional player I've seen on the table which is obviously such a crazy contrast with Sora who is completely stone-faced. Just saw another match of hers where she was down 2-1 in games and 7-1 looked completely inconsolable. Then goes on to win the...
  11. Yinhe Jupiter 3 Amazing Rubber

Huh that's really weird. Both my Moon 12 Blues (medium soft and medium hard versions) have no tack at all. Maybe they made the harder versions tacky? First I've ever heard of that.
  12. Yinhe Jupiter 3 Amazing Rubber

Moon Pro doesn't share much in common with Moon 12 Blue besides the 'Moon' branding. Moon Pro is a tacky rubber usually played on the FH. Not many people use it anymore, but it was well regarded years ago. Maybe you can try the 37d Jupiter 3 for your BH.
  13. WTT Contender Muscat-2025 - 11-17 Jan 2025

Who is this Hochart girl and why is she so good at doubles? Beating a Chinese pair in WD, and then beating WCT/DHK pair in XD. She was carrying Poret at certain points in that match too. Lot of French talent these days it's hard to keep up.
  14. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

I did the same thing with my Green package LAC. Another data point is that the older Loki Rxton 3 Blue sponge tore easily from the topsheet, but the newer ones have a very very strong bond and I couldn't tear it at all. Makes me think that Loki has sourced better adhesive for that part of...
  15. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

I'm a little more optimistic than you. Loki rxton 3 Blue has the cream sponge and it's my favorite BH rubber. I only stopped using it because it's a few degrees too hard at 52d. If this is a 37d version of that sponge I'd be happy with it too.
  16. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Hopefully it's the same type of sponge. It would make sense for them to change the color to a more neutral cream so that it doesn't clash with the other colors. The current dark orange sponge would look kinda ugly with most if not all of those colors. Stiga Mantra Pro Pink has a light orange...
  17. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

If it's really just a 37d BH version of LAC and retains all the good attributes of LAC (good speed and thick contact) AND comes in cool colors then I'm getting some in every color. I'm using LAC again on the FH after messing around with Rxton 9, Jupiter 3, and Bloom Power and none of them were...
  18. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Really odd. Seems like most people would rather use colors for BH since majority use black FH rubbers. So making a FH rubber like LAC in many different colors seems very niche. Looking at the details and pictures, it looks like the sponge is not the LAC orange sponge but a the cream looking one...
  19. WTT Star Contender Doha 2025 - 6-11 Jan 2025

This was a fun interview. Sora finally cracks a smile when asked about his lack of any facial expression. Meanwhile Miwa seems constantly on the verge of laughter.
  20. WTT Star Contender Doha 2025 - 6-11 Jan 2025

Thanks I was wondering about that group of fans. I figured they weren't Japanese because I've never seen Japanese fans cheer in the same way as they did. It's a subtle difference because they were saying some stuff Japanese fans would also say, but the tone of it was just off. Adds a lot of...
