Harimoto has done really well in the past couple games to combine his solid defensive game with a very aggressive attacking game once he has the initiative.
Pretty impressive form so far.
Speaking of different rules in this Olympics, I just saw Harimoto celebrate a point for the first time where his ball hit the net. It popped up and put him at a disadvantage in the point, but he always apologizes even in those scenarios.
Lol same. I've seen it happen so may times where CNT member gets in trouble but still find a way to pull through. Seems like different rules apply in the Olympics. Now pressure is on FZD to take home the gold and excited to see how he responds.
TRULS DOES IT! Biggest upset of Men's singles!
Credit for WCQ for only breaking out the illegal serves for the first 2 serves of game 7 and then stopping lol
Reviving this thread to post a very helpful video I saw today on footwork after the recovery step in a rally.
In this video Fang Bo calls the recovery step a "skip step" but it's the same bounce at the end of each stroke to recovery to neutral.
1. The recovery step happens after each...
I know it's not what you're asking about and I don't want to be disrespectful for switching subjects, but IMO you are spending time thinking about equipment which is a very small concern when you really should be trying to come up with an approach for getting over embarassment about being an...
SYB really deserves a lot of credit as a great doubles partner. She did her job of putting balls on the table.
But she also maintains a really positive attitude and is always super supportive of LJH despite the fact that he's often missing on over aggressive shots. Never see her look even...
Good fight and valiant effort by LJH and SYB. The Chinese pair really exploited LJH's BH. More than half of the points they won in the 6th was off of LJH BH error.
Credit to SYS especially for varying the spin and depth of all the shots and forcing the errors. LJH sets up too far and winds up...
Chinese team is targetting LJH's weak BH. Lot of their points coming from direct errors (like 3 or 4 just in the last 2 minutes) or setup for a good shot after a weak block.
I know the chances are exceedingly slim but it would be incredible to have a South Korea vs North Korea finals.
Something non-TT casual fans would tune into and might be a boon to the sport (at least during this Olympics)
Feels like team China will be able to exploit the weaknesses that HK team found in the NK team. Still will be compelling finals but the air of invincibility is gone now.
