  1. Medium hard rubber for backhand

I've tried Hurricane 37 on the backhand and it is pretty easy to use. Great at returning serve, easy to push with, but also decent to attack with. I have also used Rakza 7 soft and Rakza Z and I can play with any of them as they all have their pluses and minuses.
  2. Tennis player talked about making a loss on the world circuit

I know a few people who have tried to make it on the tennis circuit and it is extremely difficult unless someone bankrolls you, either your national federation or some benefactor. It's a very cut throat world at the lower challenger level. A lot of promising players use the American college...
  3. Top 5 annoying practice partners

Being left-handed nearly everyone I practice with wants to hit their forehand to my backhand, which is ok for a while but even when I start to feed to their backhand they end up hitting to my backhand.
  4. DHS Hurricane 3 Neo 37

And what is the verdict on how it plays?
  5. DHS Hurricane 3 Neo 37

    Has anyone actually used/tried it?
  6. DHS Hurricane 3 Neo 37

Is there much difference between the 37 sponge and the more popular/common harder sponges. Any insights would be appreciated
  7. Need help with 'beginner' setup

Yasaka Sweden with R7 soft on BH and Rakza Z on forehand, so easy to play with and improve your technique as well
  8. DOWNFALL OF TABLE TENNIS, WHILE PICKLEBALL IS GAINING POPULARITY STEADILY.

My wife plays Pickleball and loves it. I play about once a week and the reason it is so popular is that it is the easiest bat/ball sport to play. It is difficult to put any spin on the ball and the court size negates most movement issues. I find it good fun but I find the challenges of Table...
  9. Perform in multiball but not in game

A good way to practice is to have two serves each, but don't keep score. That way you can practice different serves, service returns, loops, blocks, pushes, whatever you want without any pressure. If you can't produce better shots in a match under pressure then you have a lot of improving to do
  10. Using Knee Sleeves to gain their benefits

Definitely will not prevent knee injuries, but can give some people psychological support.
  11. Does anybody else mentally fall apart against pure pushers or weird styles?

Most pushers I've played have pretty limited games in terms of attacking and serving. Have a look at their bat/rubber and determine what style of play best suits you. I mix up my serve more so than 'good' players. I use every serve I have so they don't get into a rhythm. As has been suggested...
  12. Is YSE + Rakza 7 too fast for beginner?

The coach at our club starts beginners on R7 soft 2mm. There is a fairly big difference between the max and the 2mm
  13. Table tennis setup for high level beginner

Rakza 7 soft is the best allround rubber I have used. It encourages you to go for your shots and build your confidence. I have tried lots of other rubbers but keep coming back to 7 soft.
  14. Trying to buy my first blade...

Yasaka Rakza 7 soft 2mm great rubber does everything well and very easy to use
  15. Modern "classic" rubbers

    Rakza 7 soft
  16. Need advise for my backhand rubber (Currently Rakza Z)

I would try Rakza Z in the 2.0mm or Rakza 7 soft in the 2.0mm. I find both really easy to use but I prefer the 7soft as it just that little bit more forgiving in terms of defensive play and service return but still has enough speed and spin to attack with.
  17. Can someone tell me a bit about the DHS 3002?

I bought some cheap bats off EBay for my daughter as she bought a table for her home. The two DHS bats were quite good and had PF4 rubber which was and still is quite tacky. They are really good bats and a pretty easy to play and develop your shots with. I also bought a couple of Friendship 729...
  18. Feedback on my loops against backspin

To me you look a little stiff and mechanical and not really fluid in your movements. Keep your head down and eye on the ball. There are different types of looping and they will require a different angle of the bat. If the ball is a little higher on the table you can close the face of the bat and...
  19. Thinking about switching to DHS Hurricane 3

I would try Rakza 7 soft or Rakza Z, both are really good rubbers and long lasting as well. Z is tacky whereas 7 isn't. I recently tried DHS Hurricane and the tackiness didn't last long at all, still plays OK but in my opinion the Yasaka rubbers are much better quality.
