  1. Mizutani ZLC underrated Fantastic blade

A 2550 player I know just tested it for a period of time and ended up deciding against using it for this exact reason.
  2. I just created a Youtube channel on my journey to pro!

You are probably not getting into ITDP as an outsider/visitor at only 2200, just FYI.
  3. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

How is this for empirical evidence? June 2025, I believe before it was publicly announced anywhere else:
  4. The Pro's Equipment - Discussion!

    Probably not happening.
  5. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

Interesting, that explains why it is printed on the pro issued sheet packages even though the printed thickness on such packages also says 2.1. I don't see it on any of my commercial 2.1 09cs. However, still moot because I've hit with a Butterfly pro's racket on which he stated the Dignics 05 he...
  6. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

Could you maybe elaborate on this? Maybe I am misunderstanding your stance in this discussion. It seems like you are aware that some pro players get rubbers with thickness that can't be commercially purchased? Old post so maybe you have some additional new information to that story that changed...
  7. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

We've established that Butterfly prints the text "special thickness" on their pro-issued rubber sheets. They do not print this text on the commercial packaging on the same label box. It is probably just nothing though.
  8. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

What do you know about the "special thickness (tokuatsu)" text on the label of the pro-issued Butterfly rubber packages that indicates that it isn't special? See my prior post if this reference doesn't make sense.
  9. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

I would like to buy a few of this racket. Anyone got a link for where I can purchase? Seems like a lot of people on this thread should know.
  10. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

Just curious how you think this works - someone at Butterfly goes and measures each individual piece from a batch of thousands to identify the few anomalies that meets the players standard and sets them off to the side? Then, for fun and just to troll the conspiracy theorists, prints a separate...

  12. WTT Champions Doha 2026 Jan 7-11

No, I wasn't basing that comment on just this match, more about the recent months in general, but that match made the thought pop back into my head. But yes, great run for Jang this tournament.
  13. WTT Champions Doha 2026 Jan 7-11

We'll have to wait a few more rounds to find out...there's still at least person in the draw who uses a totally-not-modified-wood-and-carbon-proportions blade in the draw... Maybe he is a one and done, beating Harimoto and Hugo isn't bad, but he also recently was beaten by Duda with scores less...

Did Dima fall ill/get injured in the last 48 hours? Is the Super Viscaria the answer to life's problems? Is Joola looking even worse now?
  15. WTT Champions Doha 2026 Jan 7-11

    This didn't age well lol
  16. WTT Champions Doha 2026 Jan 7-11

Just saw the Zyre screenshot in the replies on the other thread
  17. WTT Champions Doha 2026 Jan 7-11

Do we know that he is using Zyre on the Viscaria SALC?
  18. WTT Champions Doha 2026 Jan 7-11

Not the introduction that Joola was hoping for. Good call on the commentator saying that Dima has the edge in tight situations.
  19. From what level on does the right "modern" style matter?

In that case, much earlier. songdavid's comment is what I would say too.
  20. From what level on does the right "modern" style matter?

Probably not until 2650+ USATT at the minimum. However, that assumes that the player has already gotten to their level with a "non-modern" style, if someone is starting their journey in 2026 it is recommend to instill the "modern game" fundamentals to increase their rate of progress and chance...
