  1. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

On my blade I'd say the arc of the B3 is higher, but not a lot. R7 overall softer and giving more time on the ball. B3 has a bit more rebound/bounce, so I think overall it was a bit easier to use on the passive shots, pushes and blocks. However on all strokes where you get the sponge engaged...
  2. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Just played my first local league game with the Rxton 7 39 on my FH. Blade is a Dr. Neubauer Matador Texa Carbon, BH is Yinhe 955 Blue 0.7. It's been a long time that I had such fun playing with a rubber again. It does everything well for me, serving feels amazing, from flat and fast to slow...
  3. Ammonia in water-based table tennis glues

I've recently encountered the same smell on a cheap Chinese AliExpress glue, white bottle / dark blue cap. And it too struck me as odd, especially since I didn't smell it at first, I thought the glue went bad.... My previous glues from Donic and Tibhar didnt have this smell, which made it even...
  4. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

LAC and Rxton 7 seem closely related, reading the comments here. Haven't tried Rxton 9, but the edge "issues" seem similar to what I experienced on Rxton 3 Pink/Blue and Rxton 3/5 Pro.
  5. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

It's quite hard to make a photo of it due to reflection, but I tried the best I can manage right now. It's early signs of something I have experienced with multiple Loki Rxton rubbers, where the edges are coming loose/"bubbling up".
  6. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

So just had my first session and I really like the rubber! My initial thoughts and hopes got confirmed, Rxton 7 feel a tad softer and bit more dynamic than my previous Battle 3. Easier to engage, so blocks and flicks are more comfortable, however it does miss some top end speed opposed to the...
  7. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Just glued my sheet of Rxton 7 39 to my main blade, gonna try it out next Tuesday. Initial difference with the sheet of Battle 3 39 that came off my main blade, that the sponge is wildly different. Top sheet seems about as soft, but the blue sponge of the Rxton 7 seems softer, more flexible. I...
  8. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Judging by ur photos @Grumms you have the Red 37 degree Rxton 7 right? I have a sheet Black 39 degree sheet arriving shortly, eager to compare it to my Battle 3 39 thats currently my FH rubber.
  9. Fancy blades are just not worth it

Not having read the full thread, I'd say there are some slight differences, however I have never bought a 100 euro+ blade before. Sub 20 euro tier, you notice a lack of quality control and finish. Not (sufficiently) sanded, sharp edges, uncomfortable handles etc. All of the blades in this price...
  10. V>15 Sticky: Finally !!

So, V>15 sponge with a (somewhat) tacky topsheet? Interesting combination, however, doesn't Victas already have the V>20 Extra as a hybrid at 47,5 degrees? Unless this brings a significantly different dynamic to play with, Victas seems to be killing either of their products with this launch...
  11. NEW Gold Arc 9

I have some brief experience with Rozena and bit more with Moon 12 M- and M+. Rozena is definately faster, most catapult of all three. I also think the least controlled of all three. Moon 12 M- is a blocking monster, but lacks speed for an attacking BH. GA9 37 is faster and at least as...
  12. NEW Gold Arc 9

Just played my first session with it and tbh I was unimpressed. Played it FH and as expected compared against Bloom Power (and other tacky rubbers in general) the GA9 had less control over the table. Adjustment was okay on pushes, however I had great trouble adjusting on flips and other...
  13. NEW Gold Arc 9

Just glued my sheet of GA9 so thought I give some numbers. I have a black sheet of GA9 37 hardness in 2.1 thickness. The bat I glued it too is a Dr. Neubauer Matador Texa Carbon, replacing a Friendship Bloom Power 45 as FH rubber, BH is a Yinhe Super Kim 1.1. Full bat weight (no edge tape) was...
  14. My experience with Chinese rubbers

Small update. Fextra 5 is retired for now. Got a Dr. Neubauer Matador Texa Carbon second hand and transferred the rubbers over from the Fextra 5. Have DHS Goldarc 9 37 coming in for its FH and a 955 Blue 0.7 as spare LP option. My Treiber FI setup is unchanged, B3 38 FH, 955 Green 0.7 BH...
  15. Sanwei Fextra 5, new blade?

Turned out a bit disappointed in the blade, but maybe I had unreasonable expectations towards it. For me all-wood with a Chinese tacky FH is too slow. Probably would work better with a regular tensor, maybe EU hybrid FH, needs more speed for a modern game. Also first ST handle I tried, which I...
  16. From 729 Battle max pro to Battle 3

I have brief experience with the Battle Pro Max and quite a bit more with the Battle 3. In general I would say, Battle Pro Max leans more towards a traditional Chinese rubber, whereas Battle 3 gets some more dynamic and leans more towards a hybrid rubber. If your Battle Pro Max is up for change...
  17. Hinoki blades with Chinese rubbers?

I currently have a Friendship Battle 3 38 on an Andro Treiber FI blade, which has Hinoki outer layers. Combination works really well, can also easily handle 39 on this blade, but I prefer the slightly softer feel of the 38. I feel that the blade is very much suited for Chinese rubbers, with its...
  18. Paris Olympic Games 2024

Felix looked ruthless today, absolutely amazing performance by him. Bronze at the Olympics at age 17 is quite the astonishing feat.
  19. Post your latest EJ purchase

Just made a deal on a local second hand platform on a Dr. Neubauer Matador Texa Carbon ST for 50 euros. Looks brand new, eager to give it a try with an LP BH.
  20. Paris Olympic Games 2024

While FZD's tenure and career would deserve an Olympic gold medal to crown it, I sincerely hope that Truls's resurrection/miracle/fairytale run, beating the world number 1 on his way will get the ending it deserves.
