  1. What's a good Chinese bh rubber?

Hi Andrea, found this comment when looking through the forum. Is the rubber I just glued non-genuine? Some reputable sellers are selling the Sanwei Au Golden rubber, so I am wondering what I have here.

I too couldn't resist another order on Aliexpress for some more rubbers to test sooner or later. Rxton 5 Pro Sanwei Gear Hyper - mid-soft Blue Yinhe Moon 12 - medium soft Blue Sueke Glue No. 1 (blue bottle, seller told there was no difference between 1 and 2, just bottle color) Some extra...
  3. My experience with Chinese rubbers

I think the Battle Pro Max is a hair faster, or maybe it feels like that since it's touch is a bit denser, they are very similar in that regard. Because of the denser touch the Battle Pro Max feels more like a FH rubber to me. After debating it with a teammate I decided to glue the Jupiter 3...
  4. My experience with Chinese rubbers

After another 2 hours yesterday I am pretty happy with the Rxton 3 Pro as my FH rubber on my Butterfly Basla Carbo blade. Controlled in the short play, right amount of feeling, accelerates when needed. My FH blocks and pushes improved a lot, which helps my game significantly. Currently a bit...
  5. what new hybrid rubber?

Sticking to European/Japanese hybrids your most logical options are Tibhar Hybrid K3, Stiga DNA Hybrid H/XH or even Dragon Grip, Andro Rasanter C53 and even though its pricey, Dignics 09c. Otherwise, you could try to go Chinese and try out their harder options, for a fraction of the price.
  6. My experience with Chinese rubbers

Only had one session with it so far due to the holidays, back in the training hall tonight. So far it seems softer than advertised, the rubber feels more like 38 degrees than 40. Seemed to work well on a flexible blade, bit less on a stiff blade. In comparison with R3 Pink and Blue I'd say its...

  8. Bloom Power on FH, Bloom ? on BH

If you like what the AK47 brings in general, maybe look at other non-tacky options. Yinhe Moon and Loki T3 spring to mind, especially the Moon since its available in several hardnesses, so you can try what you like. If you are a looper on BH as well, why not try a Bloom Power on BH as well...
  9. What kind of rubber for playing with slow backhand stroke?

The ones that spring to mind right now are DHS H3-50 and Skyline 3-60, both available in 35 hardness
  10. Returning to TT after 20 yrs, blade/rubber advice

Seeing you appreciate the Glayzer 09C on the BH, I'd suggest a more advance hybrid rubber on you BH. Hybrid MK, Stiga DNA Hybrid M, Rasanter C45/C48 come to mind, maybe explore some Chinese options. As for your forehand, try any of the rubbers I suggested previously, but harder. Hybrid MK Pro...
  11. What kind of rubber for playing with slow backhand stroke?

Lazer suggestion above is a good one, I would add that you could try out some Chinese tacky rubbers on the softer end of the spectrum. Depending on what you like something 37 degrees or lower could be a solid option.
  12. Is your club organizing a Year-end Tournament?

No season end tournaments at my club, but my league and club open the new season with two tournaments. Fall 2023 league ended first weekend of December, new Spring 2024 season starts last week of January. First weekend of January is my local leagues tournament for all classes, goal is to make...
  13. What are your TT goals for 2024?

My local league team promoted last season, so I want to maintain our division, while personally striving for a ~50% win record. Will be a challenge for sure, but not something that is out of reach. Furthermore I want to dial in my setup, been experimenting a bit too much last few months. I'm...
  14. Rubbers for TSP Balsa blades

I imagine the 8.5 being a hard and very fast blade. In that sense I can compare it to my Yinhe T11s. I would recommend going with softer rubbers, something like 37/38 degree hardness on the FH and a tad softer for the backhand, especially if you want to aim it towards new/improving players. The...
  15. Sanwei on AliExpress?

I have good experiences with Chinese PingPong, HWSPORTS and BEO Store. Recently I bought from HWN Sport Goods Store and that was fine as well. I try to stick to Choice selection, as I believe AliExpress does the logistics for those items, never had a problem ordering Choice selection.
  16. Rxton 5 Pro

I do not plan on boosting it. I've never boosted before and I feel like this rubber is fast and soft enough for my liking not to boost it. As for bounciness, can't compare to D09c as I have no experience with that. From my limited test I would say it's bouncier than the R3 blue and Pink and...
  17. Rxton 5 Pro

My R3 Pro versus my R3 Pink and Blue it was little bit more sticky, but very similar. I think when all 3 are brand new the rubbers are all equally as sticky, lets hope the black R3 Pro keeps sticky for longer.
  18. Rxton 5 Pro

So far I can tell its grippier then the R3 Pink and Blue (not much tho) and Big Dipper Red. Pretty much equal with Bloom Power and Battle Pro Max in red. Jupiter 3 in red was the grippiest of them all As opposed to the R3 Pink and Blue it was certainly bouncier, in a good way for me, felt more...
  19. Rxton 5 Pro

Just played with them and my Rxton 3 Pro's feel about as hard as the Battle Pro Max 38, the Bloom Power is indeed noticably harder. However, on my Balsa Carbo blade the Rxton 3 Pro feel nice as FH rubber. It benefits a lot from a blade with a bit more flex it seems as on my T11s it feels very...
  20. Rxton 5 Pro

About to start playing, but glued to my rackets it feels much softer than 40 degrees. I've got a Battle Pro Max 38 degrees as BH on one bat, that feels a hair harder than the Rxton 3 Pro, might just be the denser/different sponge type. On the other bat I got a Bloom Power 45 as BH which feels...
