  1. Returning player (AR+/OFF–) looking for versatile rubbers for Xiom Hugo HAL [no longer: Cybershape Wood]

Hey everyone, I’m returning to the game after a long break and could use some input on rubbers for my next setup. Thanks to help from the forum, I have landed here: About me Probably an all-round type of player, focusing on placement and variation rather than power. I move well and stay active...
  2. Li-Ning Shoes

Any special models you can recommend? I’ve tried out some mizunor, but they seem a bit wide in the toe box for me (excpept the wave medal neo). Are the LiNing normal-wide? Lice Asict, for example.
  3. XIOM VEGA HYBRID ASIA AND EUROPE FULL REVIEW

Thanks a lot for this detailed review! Even if it’s been a while, it’s very helpful. I’m returning to table tennis after 20 years and have trained six times so far. I’m planning to use an AR blade (probably Stiga Cybershape Wood) and looking for suitable rubbers. A few questions: From your...
  4. Lower level player (sub 1400) using ALC + 09C vs more controlled equipment?

Is there a »semi-Chinese« way? Like Donic Bluegrip J3 (maybe even on both sides?) Is it better to start with semi-tacky, is what I’m getting at, I guess.
  5. Lower level player (sub 1400) using ALC + 09C vs more controlled equipment?

Thanks all for your answers! Pretty new to this, so apology for questions that may seem obvious to you. So, my blade will be a 5ply basic bat (not the donic Smirnov, is just on loan). I have tried he Xiom vega Europe, seems passable. What would be a good substitute that does not need...
  6. Lower level player (sub 1400) using ALC + 09C vs more controlled equipment?

What would be a good Chinese setup for a 5ply blade? Am myself intermediate beginner and drawn to this type. (We're talking about a non-tensor tacknon FH and light tensor on BH, right?)
  7. Handle choice for Cybershape: Flared, Straight – or slight sanding down?

T That is very interesting indeed! I only considered the width of the waistline, not the thickness. Have you done anything like this yourself?
  8. Handle choice for Cybershape: Flared, Straight – or slight sanding down?

Thanks! • Are you saying that sanding it is important? • What did you put on your handle? Do you have a picture? • With low grip – do you mean close to the rubber?
  9. Handle choice for Cybershape: Flared, Straight – or slight sanding down?

Thanks for taking time to answer. Not super into tape, so will probably try the ST, and maybe ofer time hand sand one mm off the waist over time if it keeps feeling clunky.
  10. Handle choice for Cybershape: Flared, Straight – or slight sanding down?

You recommend both variants, confusing me even more! :) Seriously though: I though FH/BH-transitions were supposed to be easier with straight? Is holding it high a good thing, you mean?
  11. Handle choice for Cybershape: Flared, Straight – or slight sanding down?

Yes, I am! :) I guess you’re right. But of course, I really do not know what i feel comfortable with yet. A bit reluctant to put tape on a flared, might have less feel in the hand. Maybe I’ll try the slight sanding – making thinner is possible, thicker not so much. Thanks!
  12. Handle choice for Cybershape: Flared, Straight – or slight sanding down?

I’ll ping @DG89 directly: I saw in a post you have both – maybe you could weigh in?
  13. Handle choice for Cybershape: Flared, Straight – or slight sanding down?

Moin y’all from a Swede in Germany, Coming back to TT after ~20 years off. Just joined a club again – most of the movements are still there, just rusty. Amazing feeling, feel very happy! I need new gear, and after testing a few blades in shops I’m set on getting the Stiga Allround Classic...
