  1. First Time Penholder: Help me out!

I have played shakehand for like for over 20 years, tried penhold last 4 months. Play at least as well now, maybe better. I think the basics are very similar to shakehand. Most difficult for me was closing the racket angle on forehand, important to push with thumb and turn wrist. For backhand i...
  2. Recordings of me playing with my senior

-Get down in the knees and stay low - make body like you are freezing, more compact - you have the biggest backswing in forehand stroke i have ever seen. Try to have the arm more still in beginning and make the arm go back by moving the body. So arm is almost always in front of body since you...
  3. First Short Pips FH suggestion

Better to change if you have a good smash, not being a bad looper. I think that if yuu have half long pips on your backhand will the opponent loop but also push a lot. Looping with a short pimple will not get good quality. Maybe enough, depending on your level. And maybe they loop more at a...
  4. Having trouble attacking down the line with Backhand - any tips? (pic included)

If you hold forehand grip this is much harder. Also much more difficult if you get rushed or/and the opponent plays hard. So try to read the game. Also play more to the their middle. If you play deep backhand and they get the angle back deep backhand, the angle for playin straight is not good...
  5. Advice for backhand rubber

Try training more instead, maybe it will get better. A long as the rubber have grip.
  6. Best alternatives to Dignics 09C?

I have tried; Rakza z: the arc is way to high, crazy. But good durability. Hybrid K3: last like three weeks. Joola golden tango: lasted pretty long and pretty okey. Glayzer 09c: very slow. Nittaku turbo hurricane blue: really hard for the backhand, need to booster alot but pretty good and...
  7. How to chop competently

I think right leg a bi infront, turn up the whole body, have the racket high and extend elbow. I believe most important part is the use the whole body, only arm is no good. There are videos with joo see heuk explaining the stroke. Message again if you looked but did not find any.
  8. Primorac Carbon & Rozena

Not a good idea to get a really fast blade if your goal is to develop your game. Okey if you want to play harder balls and win a bit more now.
  9. How do I improve my backhand? (closed)

This is meaningsless. Need to see your backhand in a video.
  10. Anatomic handle and Pro Players

I think Kong Linghui and Zhang Yining used for a while?
  11. returning no-spin serves?

If you want to play short you need to brush alot on the side of the ball, otherwise flick with the correct angle. Against long balls, as long as you have good spin the ball will get arc and go down, otherwise you need to read the spin and adjust. The same applies to long backhand serves, as long...
  12. I want to try mid pips on BH. Can anyone give me some advice?

I think regular Keiler is more suitable.
  13. Feedback on my League games

Backhand: i think you should try to stay lower with the stance, much more natural to play forward, since it is very difficut to hit forward when the ball is under you and you need to drop the arm to get it. Or/and try close the angle, then you also need to go forward. Every time the ball goes...
  14. Rules regarding RPB side of racket

Thats what i mean with the "writings", i know i need the logo haha. I just asked about the space and coloring of the space :)
  15. Rules regarding RPB side of racket

Hello! this picture got huge haha. Started using penhold for some months now and it is going well. Had some issues with weight and slipping of the fingers. Had a broken rubber so tried to mount it like this. Works very good. Do not play any tournaments but would this be allowed? Understand that...
  16. Sabine Winter switches to antispin

She also seems to have so much fun :)
  17. Your favorite shadow footwork drills?

This depends on how you want to play. Why do something that you do not use? On the contrary i also like just different kind of jumps and working on having good balance, which i think is the most important part in footwork. Keeping the shoulders straight.
  18. Victas VO > 101

Still think 802-40 is one of the best short pips for spin, but maybe need a bit booster and buy good ones. Mine is from a chinese coach, he says the quality differs a lot. Also liked waran 2. Feels liks 102 grips less and very sensitive to humid environent. 103 less but can still make topspin.
  19. How do I do RPB?

I have tried playing penhold the last 4 months and play basically as good as with shakehand. I feel that the technique is basically the same. Points to think about: - do not have the fingers flat out - make power from using the body and the elbow, not the wrist - not to heavy racket and make...
  20. Are inner carbon blades an exception to "don't go carbon yet"?

Allwood blades can be faster than innercarbon blades. I think for results right now you could be benefit from a faster blade but for development i believe the slower one is always better. So carbon or allwood do not matter, as long as the blade is not to fast.
