  1. Major League Table Tennis (MLTT)

Interesting. T.League went a different route this year. Livestreams are free on YouTube. On demand is $2.99/month also on YouTube. Because of the timezone difference, it's usually easier for me to watch on demand which I don't mind paying $3 a month.

  3. WTT Contender Almaty 2025 Sep 2-7

She plays for Top Nagoya in T-League. A few of her teammates do play WTT. Miyuu Kihara who just joined this year is a National Team player. Haruna's younger sister, Yuna Ojio, is still young enough so she's on the junior circuit and given a few senior opportunites. Kasumi Kimura had a great...
  4. WTT Contender Almaty 2025 Sep 2-7

Definitely, Hitomi Sato also got quite the challenge from China's Wang Xiaotong before pulling out the 3-2 win -6,11,-9,8,6.
  5. ITTF-ATTU Asian Teams Championships 2025, Bhubaneswar, 10/11-15

Hayata was guaranteed a spot as All Japan Champion. Also, top 3 by world ranking are guaranteed: Miwa, Mima, Satsuki. Fifth position is by training headquarters recommendation. So with Mima not being included for whatever reason, that probably secured a spot for Honoka with Miyu being...
  6. ITTF-ATTU Asian Teams Championships 2025, Bhubaneswar, 10/11-15

I haven't seen any news of it. But whatever the case, I don't view it in a negative light at all. It opens up a spot for someone else.

  9. WTT Feeder Olomouc 2025 8/28-31

Yes, Kaho's game is solid all around. Forehand is among the strongest of the Japanese women. Definitely should be a candidate for the National Team. I think she should be on the National Team.
  10. T.League to be Livestreamed and On-Demand *worldwide* via YouTube for 2025-2026 season

Miyuu Kihara with her team down 1-2 was playing against Hitomi Sato, when she hurt her back. She took a medical timeout and returned to finish game 1 (and actually winning 11-9). She played a few points in game 2 standing nearly straight up and had to call it quits. Hope she's okay.
  11. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

There was a WTT official standing right there to ensure the rules were followed. She cleared this with the JTTA and National Head Coach Nakazawa to make sure it's okay. It's fine to argue that the rule gives too long a timeout, but as written Hina did what she was supposed to do. The online...
  12. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Hina posted this on X and other social media: Thank you for your continued warm support. We sincerely apologize for any concern caused by the medical timeout at the WTT Champions Yokohama. We also deeply apologize for the delay in providing an explanation, as it took time to confirm with the...

  14. Why so much hate against boosters?

I think the current protocols are fine the way they are. Most (all?) pro players want to practice with the blade they are going to use in the match.
  15. WTT Feeder Olomouc 2025 8/28-31

https://www.worldtabletennis.com/eventInfo?eventId=3028 WTT Feeder Olomouc, Czechia 2025 in the heart of Europe. Top seeds are Finn Luu in MS and Kaho Akae in WS. Fresh off his 2025 Europe Youth Smash title, 15 yr old Ryuusei Kawakami, enters his 2nd Senior tournament. He did well in his first...
  16. WTT Contender Almaty 2025 Sep 2-7

Odo originally was in the Player's List but is no longer. This bodes well for Honoka, but there are pitfalls as zeio has outlined. It might mean nothing, but I thought I would mention in the qualification draw, Anne Uesawa, who beat Honoka in T-League on 9/28/2024 3-0 but lost the Victory Match...
  17. WTT Contender Almaty 2025 Sep 2-7

Depending on where she lands in the qualifying and potentially main draw, I think Tee Ai Xin is a pretty dangerous player.
  18. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

As I watch the replay video of this match, I just find the roar of the crowd for *both* players therapeutic. That's something we don't get often in the vast majority of WTT tournaments. But that's what you want and expect from a great sporting event. Add in the numerous highlights and awesome...
