The 729 Focus 3 is a really soft rubber compared to the Rxton series. Is that what you look for? A harder rubber for backhand? What hardness do you use in Focus 3?

Ah ok. Then I understand. I have had both hard and medium, and the difference between these two are quite big. The hard version I could easily use as a replacement for Hurricane 3 or Battle II on my forehand, while the medium feels more like a backhand rubber for me, with a quite soft sponge.

But this can't be the Moon Pro Hard, right? Is it the Medium or Soft perhaps?

What hardness do you have on the DNA rubbers now? You could go down a hardness and perhaps use a thinner sponge too, if you use MAX now? Or look at some other softer, grippier rubbers for the backhand. There are plenty to choose from. Most Chinese rubbers are more linear than Euro/Jap rubbers...

I'm very far from a backhand specialist, and I could only go to myself and share my own experiences. I feel that your backhand technique is quite good though but it might benefit from using a rubber that allows the ball to dig in a little bit more. This DNA Platinum could be a tiny bit too hard...

Pimplepark Epos is a great half tacky rubber with a soft sponge and a mild catapult. Could fit in quite well on your description.

I think that if you have started developing technique with this setup, and if you feel that something is missing. You need more speed, spin or control.... Then go for something similar to what you already have, but something that could give a little more of what you miss in the current setup...

Yeah. I have ordered some Dragon F & L and I know that the the Dragon L comes in Soft and Medium Soft versions. The Dragon F comes in Medium Hard and Hard, but I haven't got any of them yet. They seem interesting though :)

I think you need a firmer top sheet that interacts more directly with the sponge. That's the thing for me anyway. Sanwei Gear Hyper is a almost totally non tacky rubber with these properties. Rubbers similar to this one are 729 Presto Max Spin & Speed, but these have a slightly softer bounce...

Linear rubbers will give you better control in the short game, and you could try an untacky one like 729 Focus III Snipe, available in 42 & 44deg or Palio AK47 Blue. Tacky, harder Chinese rubbers could be good in the short game and service, but these are very spin sensitive and they'll give you...

Sanwei Accumulator S (5ply wood) and perhaps Palio AK47 Blue or 729 Focus III Snipe. Or a bit more grippy/tacky 729 Cross general, LOKI Rxton 1 or Sanwei UltraSpin. Sanwei T88-III 2-pack is a really cheap solution as well. Good control and good grip.
