  1. Grand Prix Tournaments around UK

This was pretty much my experience in this month's London Grand Prix. Entered bands 5 and 6 on Saturday and the vets next day on Sunday. Saw and said hello to Dan. I may have also seen Tinykin umpiring. The level of my group in band 6 was about average for premier division in a local league...
  2. Blade with alot of vibration?

Depends on what you compare it to, IMHO.

  4. Please Stop Doing This

I hate it when children run in front of you from behind to pick up their ball while you're still playing a point. Once I ended up accidentally whacking a 12 year old between his shoulder blades when swinging forward attempting a strong counter loop ... for a moment or two it seemed that the kid...
  5. Blade with alot of vibration?

Nexy Calix. Not an all wood, but thinnest of them all, and the feedback is pretty good too.
  6. Has anybody bought stuff from this store ? any feedback ... ?

I bought some Xiom rubbers/blades from them 4 or 5 years ago. All got shipped to UK without any issues/delays.
  7. The Jab Serve

@magictouch - thanks for the great video. @Dan - Perhaps you should add Eli to the list of verified pro's (or verified coaches)? For those who don't know, Eli is a highly respected and well known coach here in London. If you play in a tt league here, there is a good chance you'd play against...
  8. Performance P7

5 out of 5 rating for Performance P7 Played a season with P7 on BH, and started looking for a replacement like many others. Became curious about Nittaku Fastarc G-1, and purchased a sheet. Well, here is a surprise. Nittaku Fastarc G-1's sponge, the topsheet surface, pips - all look and feel...
  9. Should serve safely or try to serve a surprise to win deuce game?

IMHO, the serve to use at 17:16 should be such that it's return is not a surprise to you. If you do go with a long top/side spin serve, then always be prepared to counter strongly the (hopefully weak) return.
  10. Performance P7

Review by 'vvk1' on item 'Performance P7'

Played a season with P7 on BH, and started looking for a replacement like many others. Became curious about Nittaku Fastarc G-1, and purchased a sheet. Well, here is a surprise. Nittaku Fastarc G-1's sponge, the topsheet surface, pips - all look and feel identical to P7's. Plays the same...
  11. players who win by "oficio"

I think this qualifies (shamelessly stolen from mytt):
  12. Adidas and ITC blades

I've played for a couple of months with an Adidas Hypertouch. Pure OFF class blade. Felt kinda similarish to a Viscaria except the Hypertouch has a thinner handle or a TB ALC. Very direct feel and decent control for an OFF class blade. Flawless manufacturing quality, no need to sand anything, no...
  13. Chinese Male Olympics Team 2016

Lawrence, I'd rather China sent a player who is fully motivated to win. ZJK had won every important tournament in the world, and does not seem to be hungry to win anymore. IMHO, that's the main reason for his crappy results recently, not injuries. Just watch any of his old matches v Wang Hao or...
  14. How LAOLA.tv destroyed watching table tennis videos

Well, let's be honest and speak plainly. You cannot watch any live streams from china because youtube is blocked in china. What you're watching is someone else's uploaded pirated content. All laola is doing is protecting their investment. And at 5 euros per month a premium laola subscription is...
  15. What is the fastest DHS hurricane rubber?

    DHS H3 Neo "soft"??? Wow.
  16. Transferring skills from practice to games

  19. Shuki Development and Questions

Hi Shuki. My normal weekly split between league matches and practice sessions is pretty much the same as NDH's. Sometimes it works out as two practice sessions and one match. You need to decide for yourself what is more important - doing drills or playing matches, and more importantly don't...
  20. BBC, Levi or OSP

I used to own OSP Virtuoso OFF- and OSP Expert. IMHO, you'd be hard pressed to find better craftmanship anywhere. If you're a spin-based attacker, you'll have all the gears you need (and more).
