  1. Looking for a BH rubber that has higher throw then Rakza 7, suggestions?

If it is low when you go for power, it would indicate you bottom it out actually, and the rubber is too soft for you. It would mean you have really powerful BH, and you say you don't... Anyway, Rakza XX is the same top-sheet like Rakza 7 on slightly harder sponge, like 50. It was a bit too hard...
  2. How hard is Rakza Z Extra Hard?

In my exp. the regular is more like 48 and the "extra hard" is like 51, at most 52. Very definitely not EXTRA hard, well, perhaps not even hard ;-) Those 2 rubbers were waste. But I know people who do like them...
  3. DHS fans unite!

Can't see the image/video... Tell us more about 701s sponge ;-) I hear for the 1st time...
  4. cutting knives for rubber

I like this slight bend, and that it is thinner, it makes it easier to produce cut which is not V like (meaning bit more sponge than top-sheet, which is not what I want), and produce cut with slight overhang over the blade... But I guess it's another example where the personal prefs matter ;-)...
  5. cutting knives for rubber

Don't go for 18mm, go for 9mm, speaking about box-cutter... Cheers.
  6. Comparing Glayzer 09c and H3 Neo

Sorry, never had LAC. I like ESN 47 on the BH, and chinesse cca H40-H41 on the FH. LAC is not in those islands, so I was never tempted to try...
  7. Comparing Glayzer 09c and H3 Neo

Yes, there it will give, as you say, a bit more pop. The more power you use, the more you feel that G09C is not really fast, and gets slower than D09C. But it is easier to use... I don't regret trying D09C, but if I knew, I'd choose G09C even knowing in full power shots its slower... Personally...
  8. A curious question about DHS Hurricane 3 BS and OS.

It's like 2 types of hits, direct hit, or topspin hit... Both used with power... For the direct hit you prefer the softer sponge, it will tend to stay "direct"... But for the topspin with power you want harder sponge because it will not let you down, meaning letting down is it penetrates too...
  9. What is the best table tennis ball for matches?

I actually have the D40 in the robot (which I don't use very often anymore), and I too didn't have problems with durability. As @haggisv says, they do get "polished", hard to say if more than others... But I wanted to get the feedback about the durability, as you can understand, I need to be...
  10. What is the best table tennis ball for matches?

@haggisv How is the durability? Do they crack a lot? Most higher level clubs in CR use Joola Prime, most lower level clubs in CR use Joola Flash, put simply. There is a big difference. The issue with Prime is that they are not round and you need to hand-pick. Some clubs do use DHS D40 and I...
  11. H3 42 degree blue

Congrats. Boosted H41 is, or was, actually totally fine for me. Rxton 9 H40,5 also, I wouldn't go for the H39 for the FH. H3 H40 is OK too... The NTH3PTH even though people say it is H43, actually it was really no problem to play, but the problem is it's heavy. The hardness was not really such...
  12. H3 42 degree blue

That's a misunderstanding. The higher the level, the higher the sensitivity to changes/variations, and vice-versa. The lower the level, the less it matters with what you play... However, it's a good idea to recommend something sensible not to hamper progress... And that's what actually happens...
  13. How would you define a Pro?

Yes, I see it that way too actually... But imagine people like zen-monks living in a monastery, practicing whatever they practicing possibly even harder than CNT, getting to levels, which may be incomprehensible sometimes for us, and yet - it's not a job, and there is no remuneration... Hence...
  14. How would you define a Pro?

@Tony's Table Tennis would you say Shi Heng Yi is a PRO? Cheers... EDIT: I know you asked about TT players. I've expanded... Forgive me...
  15. H3 42 degree blue

As I/we know you, it's 100% clear you'll jump right into Nittaku H3 PTB... Nothing else will satisfy you ;-)
  16. Hammond Z2 Special or Omega 8 Euro/Pro for Acoustic Inner?

Hammond Z2 - I played with it shortly on friend's blade, and more than a year ago, and the top-sheet felt harder than rubbers I used on the BH. I felt I can't get what I want on the BH from it, and it was my friend's impression too... He used it on the FH... But we all feel differently and...

  18. DHS Hurricane 3 versions in 2025

Hi, it's in this thread, which is about last year's meeting in Polička, which, I have to say, was absolutely amazing - and add the Polička's beer which, when directly in there, is really good, esp. the non-filtered... I think that soon we will know more... Obv. even though I mentioned Slovak...
  19. DHS Hurricane 3 versions in 2025

Yesterday I played with it again after a long time. My SDC W997 blade is now repaired so I glued used C55 and O7P - not new - I just want to squize some time from these rubbers now when the season is over... The C55 indeed has its merrits, the sponge is very pleasant, a bit less dead than...
