  1. Forehand Loop against UNDERSPIN Technique

Agree with some guy above. Biomechanics, physics and technique is not so important if the stroke is functional for your game and give you a somewhat good results. Nothing really correct as long as it is working. Probably hard to discuss in text as well. But I do find it is good as a...
  2. Famous Natl Div 1 Female inverted vs Natl Div 1 PH SP !!! Finals Ntl Open

She moves very good! She plays like she has short pimples but it looks like the rubber shines?
  3. Forehand Loop against UNDERSPIN Technique

Hard to discuss about correct or less correct technique. Feel like that when start out as a coach you think there is one correct way to do a stroke, but when you have been coaching for a long time it is more like a spectrum. Have a pretty fun anacdote about this. On an international...
  4. Need help with penhold grip

I think penholders adjust their grip like shakehanders Do during the play.
  5. Forehand Loop against UNDERSPIN Technique

Think it was good! Shadow tabletennis is nice for illustrate how to do the stroke. Much harder to see with the ball. Feel like the stroke when you do shadow is a bit long whit the arm? Easy to get to slow arm when to long. You do it better and shorter with the ball so that is good! Maybe I...
  6. Why does Nittaku make their own version?

Nittaku waldner is proably because Tranås in Sweden make Yasaka, donic and nittaku blades.
  7. Getting back in the game...

    Welcome back!
  8. rubbers suitable for a carbon off + and kevlar carbon off blade

I thought these blades are very fast and hard? Easier to control with somewhat softer rubbers? At least if you want to loop. Edit: typo
  9. I prefer to watch ML & FZD for the 1000th time than any other TT players

Pretty good to compete at such a high level with only lazy blocking! Wonder how good he was when he really tried.
  10. Two higher level lady OX LP / Inverted FH Training

Interesting to see how good players are able to be today with this style. Must be much more difficult with pimples with friction and the plastic ball. Åkerström basically became a modern defender when the old rubbers were not allowed anymore. It seems like they are very high level if you look...
  11. Kim Jung Hoon Discusses a DIFFERENT approach to Chakita flips

Feel like there are many variations of the banana flip. Good to be able to do more over and also more on the side. Personally I think it is easier to get more power over the ball but feel that the flip is somewhat clean and a flip with more sidespin will give the opponent a bit more nasty ball...
  12. KNT Coach Yoo Nam Gyu Teaches Rat Attack !!! 3rd Ball to amateur player

Feel like she is almost to close to the table when going round. Need space to be able to do the stoke but maybe okey since see seems pretty short. Regarding the stroke it looks like they focus on using the body but her arm seems so rigid and tense so will be hard to get a good opening. Even...
  13. I prefer to watch ML & FZD for the 1000th time than any other TT players

Feel like there are benefits of being both shorter and taller. Can image players adapt pretty naturally after these. Would be interesting if coaches think about physical attributes like length when coaching players how to play. Probably not so much? I know that you do not want to to tall when...
  14. I prefer to watch ML & FZD for the 1000th time than any other TT players

Never said it was any wrong with it, just maybe not so fun to watch all the time. I agree the focus is to win. Think to many new players focus too much on the cool shots like looping hard with a lot of spin. Like the OP said the Chinese do this but in my opinion not the main reason why you win...
  15. I prefer to watch ML & FZD for the 1000th time than any other TT players

I think Kong linghui and Waldner did some chopblocks.
  16. I prefer to watch ML & FZD for the 1000th time than any other TT players

Do not think they play much more powerful than the Europeans but the Chinese footwork is much much better than the Europeans. That is the most impressive thing about the Chinese. They move very well and stand correct so can play a better shot where as we Europeans many times do not stand correct...
  17. Amateur Div 2 Famous Youtuber plays vs Lee Sang Soo

I have noticed that there are some asian tabletennis youtube channels that seems to be pretty popular. Do these guys do it full time? Can imagine that the pro plays a little softer to get some good rallies but can also imagine that they try to play more safe becuase if they lose a point or two...
  18. Which blade should i take?

Thanks for the answers and sorry if i hijacked the thread. Maybe need to start doing it more at home first. Would be interesting to see if regularly meditation could make tabletennis performance better? I think Yoga proably is good for injuryprevention.
  19. I prefer to watch ML & FZD for the 1000th time than any other TT players

Agree with above. Chinese play a bit like mass produced robots.
  20. Not sure between Timo Boll ALC or ZLC

I have played with both. Think ALC better if you want to loop more. Personally i feel ZLC more controlled in return game and blocking since it is feels harder, and ALC more bouncy. ZLC make the ball go more straigth and leave racket faster, while ALC the opposite. I remember that i hade problem...
