  1. Counterloop practice

This seems like a worthwhile shot to learn. But it also seems really hard... I'm not sure if it will be more achievable for me than the big-swing counter shot I was doing.
  2. Counterloop practice

I know what you mean, I also feel like I'm not really in position. But i'm so close to the table and the ball is coming so fast with spin and the ball is jumping out of place.
  3. Counterloop practice

Actually I can do the counterloop shot quite well from distance. Its the close to table counter that i find much harder
  4. Counterloop practice

Can you show video of this shot
  5. Counterloop practice

Well like I said multiple times in the past, the rating I am referencing is for our local league. I don't know if it's calibrated to the same level you are thinking of. I already posted some sample video against Victor, so you can see how I play there. But, here is a video against a player...
  6. Counterloop practice

I feel like I already block a lot though. I was trying to develop a new technique.
  7. Counterloop practice

Yes, that may be true. What are some lower hanging fruit?
  8. Counterloop practice

I think you're right. When I was practicing I was thinking there must be lower hanging fruit to go after. I feel somewhat balanced across the other shots you mentioned. So I dont know what other shot to really work on. Previously i posted video of me working on receive...
  9. Counterloop practice

What is short counterloop, like a more active punch block?
  10. Counterloop practice

In a real match during a push exchange, we would be close to the table, right? I feel like if I stand back to anticipate the loop, I am cheating to make the situation easier.
  11. Counterloop practice

You think I should hit the ball earlier? I was thinking the opposite. I felt like I was swinging too early, and I should wait for the ball to reveal its path a bit more.
  12. Counterloop practice

Our balls are really cheap training balls, so I don't know if that affected the bounce as well. A lot of times, the ball came WAY lower than I thought it would come. Also, I looked at the hit marks on my rubber, and they were all on the lower half of my rubber. Clearly I'm swinging too "high"...
  13. Counterloop practice

Yes, I noticed it was much easier for me to counterloop if I stood farther back. But I felt like this was cheating, because I know the ball is coming. In a real game, I wouldn't know. So I tried to stay close to table.
  14. Rxton 7 vs Arthur China

I did some more playing with the Rxton 7 H40. It's pretty fun rubber to use. It has a really dwelly feeling, with decent speed/rebound. It's actually quite different from LAC. LAC feels more direct, and seems like it has more power. Rxton 7 is more dwelly, and grabs the ball better. Rxton 7...
  15. Counterloop practice

Here is my first attempt at counterloop practice. Im terrible. No consistency and a ton of whiffs. I constantly overestimate the height of the ball and i swing above the ball. Advice appreciated!
  16. Friendship 729 Battle 2 National vs Friendship 729 Battle 3

How is B2 Gold different from B3? I have only tried B2 Blue Sponge provincial, but how is B2 Gold? I find B2 Blue sponge has a bit low throw angle, but the dwell and grip is great. Speed is just medium
  17. Rxton 7 vs Arthur China

I'm too afraid to boost my LAC because the bonding is too weak. But I may boost the Rxton 7 to see how much effect it adds. I boosted the H39 Rxton 7 and the effect was moderate but not great.
  18. Rxton 7 vs Arthur China

How much bounce did the booster add?
  19. Rxton 7 vs Arthur China

I bought from Aliexpress. I don't remember which store, but any store works. I have tried H- and M+
  20. Rxton 7 vs Arthur China

Boosted VP2 is very very fast. At first, I felt it was even too fast on my fh. But now I am used to it.
