  1. Why are rubbers so expensive?

In Poland it is 57.87€ in official distribution, and 45€ when bought from players (new, square, sealed, often with proof of original sale).
  2. Advantages tacky hybird rubbers

I worded it a bit incorrectly. I had damaged muscles and tendons (sry I am bad at physiology and anatomy, in Polish it is "ścięgno zginacz nadgarstka") that are attached to the wrist and it hurt when I moved the wrist. I am just very slowly easing back, not using muscles to move the wrist. I...
  3. Why are rubbers so expensive?

Cool, I also stay away from Butterfly. But seeing almost no new Chinese rubber reaching the market, and if they do they cost 40$, I think there is a reason for this. Regarding whether it is complicated, it is. A marketing video does not show everything...
  4. Why are rubbers so expensive?

The cost probably is dictated by: Money employees make Very costly equipment. I can only imagine how much these scientists make, and from what I know custom-made scientific-grade equipment price is sky-high. As far as I know some of the forum members are scientists, dunno if they are in...
  5. Advantages tacky hybird rubbers

My experience is quite different than that. I am recovering from a wrist injury and I try to limit its usage for now. It is quite difficult to explain. For me the biggest difference is on focusing what I am trying achieve. I focus on brushing the ball and not hitting the ball.
  6. Why are rubbers so expensive?

It is 6000$, and it is not fee payed for testing the rubber. It is the price ONLY for keeping the rubber on the LARC if this thread is to be trusted (https://ooakforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=35167). I can imagine that initial fee would be close to 25-50k $. I have no proof for that though. It...
  7. Why are rubbers so expensive?

Last Fastarc user I talked with measured durability in years, not months. Haven't yet used it myself for extended periods of time though. Can't personally confirm those claims. Regarding R&D costs. As far as my knowledge goes (which is somehow limited), R&D relies mostly on trial and error when...
  8. Why are rubbers so expensive?

I know that. I should maybe have to accented that more clearly. I ended chinese rubbers thread and started new thought thread about using a rubber that lasts a very very very long time as an alternative solution to expensive rubber problem.
  9. Why are rubbers so expensive?

Not all Chinese rubbers are sticky. Palio AK47 feels close to Donic Bluefire for me. Similar top sheet texture and same sponge hardness range, the sponge itself is a bit different, but for most of my friends it is good enough when they don't want to spend big money. If you don't want to buy...
  10. Advantages tacky hybird rubbers

Get Jupiter 2 38 deg, it should be somewhere between 47.5 and 50 degrees. It's like 10$. Big Dipper is also like 14$. If you won't like them (Big Dipper is easier to use) you won't like any of the expensive shiny guns. Unless you play with a certain type of gear for an extended period of time...
  11. Why are rubbers so expensive?

What great blade you can get for 25€? You have 2 options. Buy Chinese or wait for deals. (maybe just Polish prices are lower, otherwise buy from Poland lolz).
  12. Advantages tacky hybird rubbers

Yup. Why anyone would want a soft tacky rubber 😉 Soft sponges are usually quite springy which is usually the opposite of what you want with tacky rubber. I often do use mostly top sheet when brushing, so a soft sponge does ruin the feel (Golden Tango PS).
  13. Recommendation Required

I love Xiom Vega Japan on BH, it has just right sponge hardness. I don't like MX-P on FH but plenty of players in my club is very successful with it. I would pick MX-S for FX, but that is just my personal taste. I really liked Omega V Tour on FH and Omega V Asia too.
  14. Advantages tacky hybird rubbers

Also Chinese tacky rubbers have an unpleasant bounce against pips users.
  15. Advantages tacky hybird rubbers

It is an advantage, helps to develop stroke strength, and acceleration. Unless you do it properly are not going to generate speed and spin.
  16. Advantages tacky hybird rubbers

Chinese hard tacky rubbers need much much much much more input than hybrids or euro/jap.
  17. What are some great, inexpensive beginner rackets?

Carbon provides less feedback and makes the blade faster. Ebony top ply makes feel crisper but adds low effort speed and makes the blade harder to control. The ball shoots off very easily with low user input which makes it hard for unskilled players to use. I would recommend a 5ply all wood...
  18. Hello there

WOuld you mind explaining what this raiting means.
  19. What are some great, inexpensive beginner rackets?

This one is opposite. It has both ebony and carbon which makes it harder to use by unskilled people.
  20. Double short pips

I used to regularly play against a lady who played 2* SPs, it's a good setup until one faces opponents who have a good variation. For me good strategy playing against that kind of player is to push long and fast if the opponent does not net, then top spin deep and low. Most of SP I played had...
