  1. Need help receiving a particular serve

It really depends on if you are backhand or forehand dominant This decides how you shift your stance to receive serves to the elbow. One option is to low/widen your stance so you can change your sideways posture by shifting to the left while squatting and then loop it with the backhand when the...

i did not rewatch the video, but did not state that he does block perfectly, because then it would not go out. It's more that whatever he is used to as angle to block intuitively did not work this time, but if laughing at less experienced players makes you feel better, then by me guest if you...
  3. Best 47-47.5 degree backhand rubber?

Which is totally ok and to be expected when one plays against better players
  4. Best 47-47.5 degree backhand rubber?

Let me go down a totally different rabbithole: if your backhand loops are landing on the table, perhaps the expectation that you score with your loop instantly because of the spin is not sensible. for me personally i have felt that progressing as a "new" player is basically refining the strokes...
  5. Bloom power not tacky at all?

Not the same way as a rakza z or Pk50. I got a sheet of LAC and use it since december. The tackiness is at least a level below aforementioned rubbers and decreased a little even with protection sheets and cleaning.
  6. Best 47-47.5 degree backhand rubber?

I want to add that there is also the EL-S rubber, but then you will probably come back 6 month later saying that you need another more spinny rubber, that is why I would tell you to go for MX-S straight to cure your EJ virus infection.
  7. Best 47-47.5 degree backhand rubber?

Let me play the party pooper and tell you that the answer to way to get more spin is technique training first and foremost. Let me rephrase it: it is very unlikely that you max out what's possible with the rubber already and since Rakza 7 is quite easy to generate spin with you switching the...
  8. Blade & Rubber suggestion/recommendation - starting over

Given your Budget i would go for yasaka sweden extra and nittaku fastarc g-1 and c-1. both are spin sensitive but low catapult rubbers. imo there is no point in trying to evade the "spin topic". you will have to learn to cope with spin. if you dont want to learn table tennis (and the spin...
  9. Blade & Rubber suggestion/recommendation - starting over

go all wood please, regardless of if it is 5ply or 7ply. Everbody can go innerforce ALC of course, but your body will benefit from a blade where you feel the ball better and on top of it, there is no point in you taking a blade that will make you play strokes with 60% power 3 meters away from...
  10. My 15 month EJ journey in table tennis (Xiom offensive S+ Xiom 36.5 ALXi + TMXi + Viscaria)

Strokes looks ok, if a bit stiff, but with these drills I see where you are coming from with your evaluation of speedy Material. Of course if you simply go 2 meters away from the table and play from there no equipment will be too fast, but that is not up to you to decide if you play a game.
  11. It doesn't matter what equipment you play with.

professional training with a coach is something very different than the tabletennis club "training days" where everybody just comes in to do a few matches Can somebody get used to new material by playing 3 month with it ? yes, surely Can somebody who does not even know how to technically...
  12. It doesn't matter what equipment you play with.

i would challenge the theory that you will learn table tennis anyway. What you will learn is exactly what your equipment will allow you to learn easily (if we take into account most of us dont get regular professional training). I think our forum posterboy Gozo Aruna can tell a story or two...
  13. Victas TDE...Stickiest rubber???

Dario Grd has a review of it and it indeed was a very sticky rubber even being able to catch the ball with its stickiness out of the air when the ball bounced from below against the rubber facing downwards.

I'd use or try rxton 3 as a Pk50 alternative, but the lack of tackiness turns me off.
  15. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Fresh from training I got confirming remarks after we warmed up. Me blocking with the Pk50 and him being a leftie forehand looping. He basically said "it's like playing against somebody with pips or anti. Usually I can increase the speed of my loops l, but your block always slows the ball down"
  16. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

To not go entirely offtopic, let's put my opinion about the main difference between PK50 and LAC first. PK50 is significantly more sticky (not only out of the box but also after several month). The speed i would generate with LAC is higher (which one could attribute to the harder sponge of the...

you also have to take into account the vast difference in playing level of the people comparing. While you might voice an opinion that might be most valuable to better players, i am talking out of the perspective of a beginner really, so my experience might be closer to what another "newbie"...
  18. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

it is totally clear that this is my subjective experience and to be honest i never had issues when warming up and blocking the opponents topspins when basically doing the match warm up. Today i had a few system drills and i asked my coach to include this match like scenario where i push a serve...
  19. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

It's really sad that there is no replacement for it. I just compared the Pk50 and LAC in terms of blocking and the Pk50 effortlessly tamed harder top spins well, while the LAC was infinitely harder to control on these situations. The opponent can simply play hard enough to engage the LAC sponge...
  20. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

From rxton 7, 9, 5 and 3 none were as tacky as pk50 neither is LAC.
