  2. Xuperman Powerplay-x: A Rubber by Xu Xin

fellow penholders, let me know how this rubber goes for you and whether or not it will topple the shakehand supremacy with just one backspin serve and one forehand loop like the good old days jokes aside i am interested to see if it will be an alternative to skyline tg2 the skyline rubbers...
  3. Alternative to H3 37 degrees

you can try this lol its a new release and theres not much info about it
  4. Racket sanding (did I do it right?)

if ur current sanding doesnt hurt and give you discomfort when u grip ur blade then its good enough for me with way smaller hands than ur average westerner i sand the bottom of my handles too for max comfort but like ive said just ur index finger not hurting is enough
  5. My experience switching from shakehand to penhold

straight or curled it doesnt really matter as long as u feel comfy and natural to you my grip is a mix; somewhere in a middle of picture 1 and 2. my fingers naturally assume the position the moment i grip my blade. ur blade dilemma reminds me of my own dilemma between sanwei fextra 7 and...
  6. Can’t wait for the Dang Qiu ALC

  9. New Stiga Mantra Pro

the prices in taobao are so friggin cheap it blew my mind like when converted from chinese yuan to malaysian ringgit its about 90 MYR, and that price can usually fetch me a tibhar aurus in local online stores
  10. New Stiga Mantra Pro

how light are the stiga mantra pros u had? admittedly not rly a big fan of the OG mantra series, had a stiga mantra M two years ago and the topsheet lost grip quickly in a month and soon after oxidized so much to the point where i couldnt really salvage it but seems like the new pro lineup is...
  11. DHS fans unite!

i used skyline 3 once when i played jpen all i remember is that i tend to overshoot my loops and that sometimes the amount of spin i put on the ball can be really deceptive to opponents in the end i went back to fastarc g1 bc its better for traditional penhold backhand (i.e. not that...
  12. What is the MOST mid setup? Equipment you thought was just 'okay'

battle 2 blue sponge coming from orange sponge provincial it took me a very long time to adjust to it bc of the lower throw and higher speed but now that im adjusted to it, it feels just ok speed is higher but aside from that it feels just ok coming from orange sponge
  13. Recommendations for CPEN blade

nice to see u having fun with penhold u can certainly produce nice spin with goiabao, just that i find short game and serving to be spinnier with fextra @kingkimchi i already had the goiabao as mentioned in my post above John S viscaria is sweet, maybe i will get a yinhe alc clone when i have...
  14. Recommendations for CPEN blade

i figured that i should add a little update just for fun many months back (i think it was around july) i purchased a yasaka goiabao 5 locally its a pretty good looking blade. compared to sanwei fextra, it bites the ball better when i loop. blocking, driving and smashing is also way better with...

  17. Post your latest EJ purchase

focus 3 to me it is a really good rubber for blocking not so much for topspin however but it is still a pretty good allround backhand rubber @mattlamperouge my tornado v5 on my FH got faster than usual after a few days of hitting so you are right for the price its a pretty good rubber, just...
  18. Post your latest EJ purchase

its probably unfair to judge it based off a battle 2 provincial orange lol the blade i put it on has a hard outerply and it is in the OFF+ range so honestly i am surprised that its not as fast as it should be even the 729 cross training rubber is way faster on that blade
  19. Post your latest EJ purchase

47 medium hard the both of them since thats the only hardness option the store has boosted both sheets with 2 layers, backhand is actually pretty good forehand is a bit iffy but could be due to the blade. it is still slow for some reason, maybe its not broken in yet.
  20. Friendship 729 Battle 2 National vs Friendship 729 Battle 3

its been two weeks and i still dont have the slightest clue on how to make my B2 blue sponge work too fast for close-to-the-table, too low throw for mid/far distance. the ball slippage being the cherry on top despite my sheet still feeling tacky im going to go nuts and put more layers of...
