I don't think that the sponge is affected by wet gluing. The blade might be, but varnishing it overcomes this problem. Frankly after your tests, wet gluing doesn't sound such a bad idea to me. if I wasn't using glue sheets, I would definitely try it.

Personally, I like it a lot and I think it has a good ratio of speed vs control, perfect for blocking and mid distance game. Each player however has his own style & preferences. But since you are going to try the blade before you buy it, it shoudn't matter what me or anybody else says.

I've read that he has sometype of a neurological problem and he can't top spin from his FH and that's why he has such an unusual playing style.

It's not a matter of tolerance to diversity but rather practicality. International viewers are not accustomed to local accents and WTT should consider this. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know but at least that's the way I see it.

I haven't seen Bobrow playing in a real match, only in his videos where he is just goofing around and having fun, so I may misjudging his real level. Besides his playing level, what matters is that he is an excellent and funny commentator who helps the viewer understand the game and its tactics...
