  1. Anyone have a sneak peak of Glayzer yet?

    Iirc it was like d09c 54°, g09c 52°
  2. Seven Laws of Spin (General things about sidespin and backspin that experienced people know)

You are correct. The translation does not make much sense in a match scenario: If you do a no-spin serve the scenarios are: a) opponent tries to push it and will push it high (thinking there is backspin in your serve while there is not) b) opponent sees that it is no spin and counters it or...
  3. Opinions on the Hurricane Long 5 Blades

Ok, I see. By opening loop kills you mean the third Ball attack whereby you loop the opponent return or do you mean killing opponents loop by smashing it? I guess I did not notice the bounciness because I nearly every block.
  4. Opinions on the Hurricane Long 5 Blades

That is totally incorrect. You are misreading that report. I do like ttgearlab, but you have to understand that he simply measures four physical values of the blades and compared two values to each other in seemingly related pairs. Let's have an analogy: Let's say you have two married pairs...
  5. Opinions on the Hurricane Long 5 Blades

You are assuming that the DHS HL5 would be bouncier than the Viscaria. That would mean that the Viscaria would be easier to control and that is hard to believe if you listen to any reviews out there. Next level even found the HL5 to be too slow, which would indicate the exact opposite of too...
  6. Opinions on the Hurricane Long 5 Blades

what leads you to this verdict ? I have not seen a review comparing those two that would say something like this. better selected material make the very same wood composition not magically classes better, especially not for a regular non pro player
  7. Opinions on the Hurricane Long 5 Blades

I do like my DHS Long 5 because it is controlled enough in the short game while retaining good power away from the table. 5x would probably be too fast for you. W968 is just a way better quality controlled HL5
  8. Seven Laws of Spin (General things about sidespin and backspin that experienced people know)

as often with these videos there are either some things lost in translation (using english subtitles) or statements are debatable. Sometimes i just dont agree with terminology (i.e. somebody claiming to do a topspin, while it is clearly a above shoulder level smash). In this instance one thing...
  9. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

you have to keep in mind that making the same blade smaller in dimensions will not make it more controllable, but faster ! It will be stiffer for sure. Is that really what you want ?
  10. Anyone have a sneak peak of Glayzer yet?

there is a japanese sneak peak video of two guys testing it on youtube.
  11. Stiga Cybershape Wood Review

I got two stiga Cybershape wood, one with CWT and one without (80g & 83g). Both seem to have a higher base speed (in the short game) then my DHS Hurricane Long 5 87g. So the cybershape is definitely not an Allround speed blade
  12. Some blades for sale here🚀🏓

i think something has gone wrong with your quotes, grandmast3r ;) I have chosen € as currency and paid 133€, that was 100€ for the blade and the 33€ you said would be for the shipping/delivery. That was translated by Paypal to your default currency i guess and that makes it 135,01 USD. Did we...
  13. Some blades for sale here🚀🏓

I have just received the DHS HL-5 of GrandMast3r. It is well packaged and as good as you could expect from a slightly used blade. Now hits or issues with the blade surface (which i could spot so far). I think GrandMast3r can't be blamed for the "slow" delivery of the nova poshta postal service.
  14. Which Butterfly Blade for Offensive Play with Rozena

the ALC.S is specifically designed to support a spin based game, with ALC supporting with power while the "S" can stand for Spruce which is the layer above the ALC which should give better spin capability.
  15. Which Butterfly Blade for Offensive Play with Rozena

I think the ALC.S sounds exactly like what would go well with your style. It will be a speed upgrade, but not too much.
  16. [Question] I need to choose an appropriate paddle

somebody does try to increase his post count by LARPing as a necromant
  17. Two blades remaining

Iirc it was about 1350 with the both sides differing only in about 20 Hz, so to me it is negligible. Of course it might be that this does not tell the whole story and different impacts might be behaving different, but the simple ball drop test yielded these low differences only. The weight was...
  18. Acoustic 82g vs 90g?

with todays heavy rubbers you might enjoy having a setup that is below 190g ;)
  19. Specifically, who is Andro C48 meant for?

I would estimate that it is the pimple structure that makes rubber better for flat or brush hits. I would assume that shorter stiffer (wider) pimples that don't bend sideways would be better for flat hits, while flexible thinner sideways "moving" longer pimples would allow more sinking in of...
