It could also be their durometer is not calibrated or not being used correctly, that doesn't look like the best way to hold it to apply even pressure. Nittaku list it at 50 degrees, Turbo Orange at 45 degrees and Nittaku/DHS Hurricane 3 at 42.5 I am not sure what scale this is but they list G1...

That looks like 61° Asker C, which would make it around the 50° mark for Euro and 39° for the Chinese scale, which whilst still quite hard, is softer than I was expecting (I have measured Turbo Orange at harder than this)

Is there anything to say what scale the durometer is? If it is 60 on the Euro scale then this would be 43/44 on the Chinese scale, so very hard.

I measured a sheet with a Shore O Durometer at 46°, so I suspect it is supposed to be 45°

I found the EL-S tends to chip a bit more easily than MX-P and shows marks from use a bit sooner, but this does not seem to effect how it plays very much

Has anyone got any further information on this? I have noticed a few Daiki made rubbers such as Joola Samba 19 and the Stiga Airoc series seem to be unavailable in some variations at a lot of suppliers and I wondered if this was connected. Thanks

The weight given for rubbers seem to include the packaging. I don't see the logic of weighing rubber in the packaging, when a slight variance in the size of the rubber or the packaging itself could be responsible for the weight difference.

The Innerforce ZLC had the 158x151mm head size, which was reduced to 157x150mm when it changed to the innerforce layer, but the Innerforce ALC was already 157x150mm so hasn't changed.

Butterfly list the Innerforce Layer ALC as 6mm thick, but listed the old Innerforce ALC as 5.9mm. I suspect they are actually the same thickness as the difference is due to rounding up or down. The handle now has a metal name plate instead of a plastic lens.

After a lot of trial and error I've ended up using slightly thinner rubbers (1.9/2.0mm) on my forehand and 2.1mm/max on my backhand. I assume this works for me due to the bigger forehand stroke. Like many people I also use a harder rubber on my forehand.

It's the other way around, the Ai Fukuhara is 157x150mm and is 5.8mm thick, the Liu Shiwen is 158x152mm and 5.6mm thick. They are both innerforce type: Limba-Limba-ZLF-Ayous-ZLF-Limba-Limba

A lot of blades made by Soulspin, both under their own name and for other brands, can be quite light. I have a Gewo Königsklasse Karbon Sieben that is only 73g and although I would normally choose something at least 10g heavier, it plays absolutely fine.
