  1. Andro rasanter c series

Interested to hear more as you play with these. I’m enjoying the R48 on my BH but keen to try C48. I’m thinking that C48 might bear similarity to H8-80?
  2. Good rubber for Viscaria BH

Not sure what your style or level is but I’ve enjoyed D05 and D80 but also Rasanter R48 and T05 - Viscaria works with most things well in my experience.
  3. Andro rasanter c series

Thanks for the insights here. I’m currently trying R48 on the BH of my Viscaria (usually play D05 or D80) and I’m enjoying it (although a lot of comments come my way about the green colour) I play either D09 or H3 national 39 on FH but was thinking that the C48 might work well - what are your...
  4. DHS Hurricane hardness

I use 39 deg boosted and it’s certainly it too soft for me - I prefer it to 40 or 41 on my FH. I use the nittaku sticky protector sheets on it to keep it tacky after cleaning post play.
  5. Exam that décides my fate

Good luck, I’m sure you’ll knock it out of the park! Just by way of counterbalance though, I don’t believe any exam decides your fate - your fate is determined by much more than that and over a longer period than 3 days. Sometimes a failed exam might take you in the direction you were meant to...
  6. My new bat

Makes sense - I have two at 88g & 91g which is a good weight for me.
  7. Competition: How should I approach it?

I see so many players at my club who play so well, with freedom and in an offensive style when practicing but who turn into “push” monsters in matches… I promised myself I would play in the style I aspire to in my matches - attacking and with intent. In addition my coach allows for no more than...
  8. What is the best alternative for Tenergy 05?

I’ve had a sheet on for a week now - early indications are good. It feels like a slightly softer, more friendly D05 (my FH rubber) and is very spinny.
  9. Offensive players do you prefer inner or outer carbon and why?

I think they can be fairly similar - I have been playing with a Harimoto and a Viscaria and I like them both very much. I find the linearity and crispness of the Viscaria great, and I tend to block well with it, but I love the slightly longer dwell, softness and forgiveness of the Harimoto. I...
  10. My new bat

Looks great - can't beat a Viscaria. I am keen to hear how you get on with it - I found mine to be very crisp and a touch slower than I was expecting (a good speed)
  11. Block like Da Boss!

    Nailed it!
  12. FH rubber for DHS h301x

I liked Hurricane 3 neo - maybe 39 deg (boosted) on FH of my 301x
  13. Carbon vs Wood

I’ve tried inner ALC (HL5) and all wood IAcoustic/Violin) and most recently outer carbon (Viscaria) I am perfectly happy with the 5 ply blades and, after struggling with the HL5x a little I thought that’s where I would stay for a while, until I tried the Viscaria. This blade seems to offer me...
  14. Crispest Blade you have used

Viscaria for me, by quite a way.
  15. Done with EJ(for a while)

Very different indeed. HL5x feels either very slow or very fast whereas Viscaria feels linear. HL5x feels subdued in comparison. Speed is similar I’d say with HL5x a little faster too end. Viscaria excels at blocking and feels sharper and more accurate for my game.
  16. Done with EJ(for a while)

Sounds like a plan! Having said that, I did the same thing with parking my HL5x and switching to my Violin, which worked fine until I tried a Viscaria and was blown away by how much I liked the crisp direct yet high quality feel - so the original plan went out the window as I’m playing way...
  17. Which video did you find more interesting to watch

First one - more exciting with faster open ups and more spin.
  18. BH rubber advice

I have played with T05 / T05FX / D05 and D80 on BH. They are all great for an attacking style, with T05FX the easiest to play and very good. T05 is also great but a little faster and bouncier. D05 is harder and very spinny but requires a little more effort in the stroke. I found D80 a little too...
  19. Be honest guys: you don't need carbon blades

No - they would be an "ex -pro" ;-)
  20. Be honest guys: you don't need carbon blades

Semantics - "Pro" is derived from, and short for "Professional" but I understand your point, people misuse "Pro" and use it as a proxy for top level. Have a good day
