The difference in tackiness between the two is very little; small enough that it really makes no difference. Those are both good quality, well-proven rubbers and whichever you choose will help you and your dad take your experience of the game to the next level and have fun developing new skills.

If you've decided to stick with a 5-ply Limba-outer blade then it's hard to beat Xiom Offensive S or Tibhar Stratus Powerwood - especially at their prices....

Butterfly also had a couple of Wenge outer blades - Hadraw VR and SR - but I believe they've been discontinued. I wonder how different the Stiga Nostalgic series is to those and whether or not they'll prove popular/successful over time.

Going back to the original post/question here ... I think you need to decide whether the 'feel' that you like is, specifically, the feel of a Limba outer-ply on an all-wood blade, or is it just an 'all-wood' feel more generally. If you specifically want to stick with the feel of a Limba...
