What you are saying is very much in line with my experience. Short pimple on fh do seem to fit the bill, but they require training. I would go for something stiff and hard top first. Think ebony, rosewood, whatever gauzzy quest has on top.

Comparing with all rubbers mentioned here. I've used Hurricane 3 Neo, Battle 2, Battle 2 prove orange, Battle 2 gold, Jupiter 2. All of them are better but harder to use than Sanwei Target 90. Judge your own skill. What is wrong with the Hurricane 3 Neo you already use? Spin potential for me...

I had target 90 and for me it was much less spinny.

I use the purple sponge Battle 2 Gold, its spin is as good or better than prov h3 neo.
