If you have the racket over the table IMO its dangerous as you can get surprised easily by a really long fast serve. In doubles many people do that because it’s easier to know where the ball is going but in singles ? If you have fast footwork and reaction to adjust why not but else …
  2. Playing in cold halls

forgot to say, in those tournaments in cold halls, inevitably it happens that you must referee other players. thats when your body freezes. And then you are called for a match, there is no warmup (thats the rule in Japan), and disaster follows
  3. Playing in cold halls

I think it's just better to find another hall. Furthermore you might catch cold. I remember playing in very cold halls for tournaments, i was literally freezing when i played. of course i didn't perform at all, and had some very bad losses. I'm not going there again in winter time.

  6. 35th ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup 2026, Haikou, 2/4-8

didn't work out for TH. I dont think he can have ever a positive record against WCQ but statistically he will always have some chance (20% ?) to win if he is on fire or WCQ a bit less in form.

today he had a local team competition . we were in division 2 (bottom = 6). 67 teams in total, 5 in our division. format is 1 doubles + 4 singles, first team to 3 wins. all 5 teams play each other. normally i'm the weakest player of the team, and play only like 2 singles. didn’t you rather mean “she’s is the best looking S Korea women’s player…” Well everyone has its tastes. It’s debatable For TT skills SYB seems still quite above to me but maybe her motivation is a bit down right now. It’s normal WTTC singles is next year only and Olympics further away.

  18. Alternative to Dignics 09C

i practiced against someone who had G09c. can't remember his blade. I remember his ball was quite spinny, but it was slow in a "bad" meaning. (sometimes slower balls are more difficult to play) , as is his shot was supposed to be aggressive and fast but it wasn't... to exaggerate, as if it was a...
