I dont mean to sound too harsh but it seems to me that his strokes are too "stiff". I would like to hear other players opinion about that also :P
To be more precise , I think that Sam is too focused and as a result he "forces" himself sometimes
Its only a personal assumption, Im not inside...
I dont know, I think youtube is working just fine. There is no fuss to copy and paste a video, so why bother to add something new since it wont offer much. I really dont know maybe if it is easy to add it then just do it :P
Τhere is no usual timing, it depends on each different ball. If u push really soft or just put the paddle under the ball without any additional movement, if the incoming ball is short and u "catch it" of the bounce the push will be short.
If the incoming ball again is short but you push it on...
Well since I like to learn/explain TT through the microscope of science physics, mathematics, probabilities can all help us to understand the whole game better.
I never said that players will start to abuse the "let" serve or that anyone can do it whenever they want.
What they will do is...
Alfas read my post again, u seem like u gave no attention to it or didnt understand anything from what Tony and I have posted. You are basically posting the same post as before...
You claim that "nobody plays the same in training and in matchplay"
Check the Waldner story...
Its nice! reminds me of Rocky training so you could do something similar for Ma Long. The beginning is pretty dynamic but then it has slow tempo and is repetitive so maybe you could put only the first 1.5/2 minutes using them for a good intro
Both songs have been played in many TT videos, dont repeat yourself its really boring for viewers. I dont wanna be harsh or anything but most of the video uploaders try to mimic other video tributes using the same and the same songs (requiem for a dream for example, its been in half of the...
I believe even edge serves are possible but much more difficult and not worth the training. Just imagine how frustrated a player will be if he manage to do 8/10 edges serves on a daily basis and then in matchplay the ball passes slightly over the edge
Personally I would be like "You f*****...
All of the above, contact point on the paddle should be as away from the handle as possible. It would be better if you show us a video with your mistakes, otherwise we cannot help you much.
My tip would be to aim at the endline of the table. The paddle angle should not be too open. Not to...
Aiming service at the edge is not a safe option and with the modern play if u fail to edge the ball,u will get attacked most likely in pro level or the ball will get out. With the no let rule if u learn to serve and clip the net at the downphase of the ball then you have 100% safe options.
Case...
Guys relax it was just a test event. It seriously seems stupid even a test like that but I dont think we will eventually see the "no let" rule in the future. This rule gives the server an immense advantage and players will start serving certain serves only with certain trajectory and placement...

Sorry for bad quality it was recorded 3-4 years ago with a cell phone camera.
p.s. I wasnt trying to hit the camera though, quite the opposite :D
Its definetely something with too much friction which means that you dont have a firm grip of the paddle or it slides against your finger somehow so try to pay attention to that (why it happens). If the serve doesnt feel comfortable, experiment a bit and make it comfortable! Its ok to have some...
not necessarily, its not only about gravity acceleration, air resistance/ball elasticity/deformation and mass per mm2. If we increase the weight too much the ball wont spin and it wouldnt go straight easily so we would have difficulties passing it over the net. But all of these are theory...
