  1. Are Kokutaku rubbers good?

I've never used Kokutaku or Tuttle rubber, but I kinda gave up because they have toooo many rubbers and its hard to understand. I dont know what is their "flagship" rubber like H3 or Dignics. I see all these rubbers like Hercules, Samurai, Attractice Force, 007, and it goes on forever.
  2. Should I leave rubber in plastic seal?

well, I take it that the difference is that you are comparing boosted H3N to another rubber, and I was just talking about rubber out of the package. I'm still willing to give you my car if you take a H3N out of package and find it to be faster than a out of package BD. In terms of objective...
  3. Advice to play against 2000+ player?

Yeah to be honest, I'm just totally confused and constantly doubting my own reading. I guess when the shoulder ends up in a high place, it looks like it would be more sidespin or even top-sidespin from the BH serve. But when I see the actual ball bouncing, I don't know what it is. One little...
  4. Should I leave rubber in plastic seal?

Well in any case, I just wanted to write a guide to correct a lot of the information that is being put out there. A lot of times people describe a rubber as being fast, bouncy, or tensor-like, but in fact I have found that to not be true, or only true if it is boosted. I can't get every nuance...
  5. Advice to play against 2000+ player?

I think im a out 1500 to 1600 right now. Ill try to take video if i get to play the 2000 guy again. I think my fh loop got a lot better from that video. The best feedback i got was that my arm was too straight and i wasnt snapping my elbow. I realized i was still hitting FH with my tennis stroke.
  6. Advice to play against 2000+ player?

Maybe ill try to pit together a video sometime. Im quite certain that the 2000 guy is doing his best. His serves are really tricky. And he will sometimes mention after his serve if i completely misread it. "that was heavy under". Im losing about 80% of serve situation. Once the rally gets...
  7. Advice to play against 2000+ player?

Yes, i have been playing 8 months relatively consistently, about 3 or 4 times a week. I started playing when I was 12, and played very casually. I played with a free paddle you can find in a hotel lobby or something. I played basically just once a week without any coaching. Eventually a guy...
  8. Stuor Harimoto Zlc blade arrived

In this case, this guy is always buying and selling used blades, exchanging blades, etc. So germs were not his concern I dont believe.
  9. Offensive players do you prefer inner or outer carbon and why?

I have Stiga Offensive CR and Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive. Both 5w blades. The Stiga is a little bit slow, and although I like flex, maybe it was even too flexy for me. On my biggest loop kills, it didn't inspire confidence because it felt flimsy. Also it sorta lacks the punch from...
  10. Question for people with decent BH topspin

one thing that helps me is to lower my head to almost at the ball level. My eyes are near where the ball bounces, and somehow this helps me get lift and acceleration through the ball.
  11. Should I leave rubber in plastic seal?

I actually bought a bunch of rubbers because i was curious how good each one was. And i was curious if their revspin reviews were actually true. Sometimes forum guys praised a rubber, so i wanted to see for myself if its true. Alot of them havent been true. I was thinking to write a definitive...
  12. Advice to play against 2000+ player?

next time ill pay more attention to the trajectory
  13. Should I leave rubber in plastic seal?

but tenergy is sealed, right? so the sealing didnt protect the rubber?
  14. Advice to play against 2000+ player?

Several times I was looking very closely at his racket angle and timing, and just judging by the angle I thought it was light underspin. But looking at the ball bounce and rotation, I thought it was heavy under. But I decided to go with the racket angle judging, and ended up wrong. So when I...
  15. Should I leave rubber in plastic seal?

Well yes, I have seen 20-30 year old rubbers become hard and black and brittle. So I don't doubt that. But I'm talking about putting the rubber down for a couple months or so. My original question was about whether booster effect would wear off. But I also don't think rubber would oxidize that...
  16. Should I leave rubber in plastic seal?

What's wrong with oxidation? I have rubber just left in my desk drawer for years, and it doesn't seem like there's anything wrong with it.
  17. Advice to play against 2000+ player?

So how can I read his serve? Most of his serves are with the backhand, and they all look the same.
  18. Should I leave rubber in plastic seal?

I just received this new rubber shipped to me by boat, so its been 3 whole months on the boat already plus the time sitting in warehouse. Im not sure if its factory boosted or not, but does the plastic seal mean that it is boosted? I want to take it out just to test it, but not play with it...
  19. Advice to play against 2000+ player?

I played the 2000 guy again, and I finally won 1 game against him. A couple other games went to deuce, and I had one game up 4-0 on him where I ended up losing. His speed and timing is just different from what I'm used to. His pushes come hard and fast and I'm always rushing to respond to them...
  20. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Well I tried the GTX rubber on a few different blades, and a couple of them didn't quite feel right. It was like the ball wouldn't curve down into the table on the inner carbon blades. Today I put the GTX rubber on my Lemuria outer ZLC blade, and it seems to be a better fit. Maybe I will keep...
