With the World Championships just around the corner, I decided to make a Portuguese themed blade. The composition is based on a Freitas ALC, popular among our players, with an handle design that takes inspiration from the playing jerseys. Available FS. - Black Limba / ALC / Ayous / Kiri /...

Hide glue is sensitive to water, that's why it's used in instrument building, because the bond is reversible. Acoustic guitars tend to warp as the years go by, due to the tension of the strings. That changes the initial neck angle and decreases playability. So, they inject steam in the neck...

With 5mm only, this blade should be slower than it is. Sure, you have the Sucupira and Ebony outer plies, which are two very dense woods and give it a solid feel, but it's not just that. There is some more mojo at work here, but I'm not going to get into that [emoji846]. Available FS. -...

Perhaps I'm going to sound very arrogant, but I'm looking at this from a different perspective, so I have to call it like I see it. I don't see any special skill or craftsmanship, in fact I find the whole process very clumsy. Of course this doesn't mean those blades can't play great, just...

Have you ever seen a gigantic Vis? Well, now you have. This behemoth is 170x163mm, so you have plenty of hitting area for chopping away from the table. The large head size slows the blade down when compared to a regular head size, but it's still a reasonably fast blade. Bonus tip: It can also...

Not at all, glue alone doesn't have that kind of impact in a blade. The essence of the blade is still the same, it's a relatively thin 7 ply with a soft feeling, suitable for looping. What's different here is the feedback, by sharper feedback I mean a more direct feeling in the hand. There is...
