I noticed that as well. I've seen Double Fish tables in person that had a really glossy finish and it was hard to hold spin. I didn't know DHS was the same way. I suppose it doesn't have too much effect on the ball since the players still seem to play normally. However, I would never buy one...

Yeah, I've tried many different rubbers as well. So far I'm settling on K3 or Xiom Guang as a compromise. It's just very interesting how long it's been out of stock. You would think within 6 months they should be able to replenish some.

No, it's not totally out of stock but why would they be out of stock at other retailers? I'm suspecting that the ones that still have stock don't sell as much and they're left over old stock. Retailers that do heavier volume have run out and cannot replenish with new shipments.

Sounds like something I want to try. But too powerful is not good without control. How is the short game? Does it just shoot off the rubber or can you play touch shots just drop over the net? How is the grip? Can you easily lift backspin and loop with big arc?

I thought the same thing but when you look at the amount of power and spin they put on the ball how can you possibly return those if you're too close? There's no way you could keep it on the table from close in.

I agree with trying the Dragon grip. You will maintain the spin but add some speed. Just keep in mind the tackiness doesn't last very long.
