  1. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Are you british from the beginning? I like it that you keep the racket high against topspin all the time. very good. I do think that maybe you can try to use the body as support in your strokes. Do not really need to rotate very much, just use it little. I think this will give you much more...
  2. Short Topspin Serve with Pendulum Motion

I Will be so rude and say that they are not so good if you read them correct and see that it is topspin. But it must be alot of spin if you read topspin and still miss.
  3. Short Topspin Serve with Pendulum Motion

I just meant that i Do not think We give him any real help if we start to discuss the definition instead how to Do as he asks for. I also think the discussion about What is a short serve is interesting. Like someone Else stated short serves that are very short are actually not very good...
  4. Often hitting the upper edge of the racket

Try this. Move more and better. The chinese only need to train one forehand loop while others ned to train more because We Do not move aswell. As stated above. Try to Do the same stroke all the time and just move the legs. But of course change a little depending on the ball. Play much...
  5. Short Topspin Serve with Pendulum Motion

I feel that the OP asked about how to do a short topspin serve, not what the defintion is.
  6. Reverse engineering chinese dominance

I think the chinese is best because they train the most and the hardest. Nothing strange or magical about it.
  7. Short Topspin Serve with Pendulum Motion

Do not use the shoulder. Use wrist or and forearm. Do not need massive spin, just more than the opponent thinks. Get the first bouncy closer to the net and the serve Will be short.
  8. Flexible blade hard rubbers, even for looper?

I think rubbers on the harder side is almost always better, as long as they are not rockhard or the blade is very hard and stiff.
  9. Serve and attack strategies

Have very little time so this will be very basic. serve -> proably possible return, or most the times Short serve with backspin -> short return or long push. At lower levels more long push. Short nospin, sidetop, topspin serve -> high push or flip. Very high level can push short. Long serve...
  10. Generating crazy spin in serves

Same answer. I do not think people serve the same, they find out what works. As long as you brush the ball thin and fast at impact it do not matter how you do it. But i do not think spin is the most important stuff, or not the only one. Do not forget deception, placement, variation and that you...
  11. Generating crazy spin in serves

No rules in how to serve. Just imagination and practice. Spend an 30 minuter to an hour after every practice and you will have good serves :) Good luck!

  13. DHS Dragonow (good or bad) ?

Do not know. Not Good with degrees. How long have you played for and at What level? Still think this is not good for players that are not at a very high level, even think that very few really really good players would use it because there is not good control. I have used short pimple for over...
  14. Serve & placement to minimize opponent options

Try looking at the opponent and not the ball so much. Better to focus on your style of play and adapt little to the opponent. So it is different from opponent to opponent.
  15. DHS Dragonow (good or bad) ?

I have not Tried it much. One of my players went from unboosted dolphin to dragonow. I think it feels harder than both the dolphin and the 802 40. I just played a few balls with it and i could play with it okay. But the control is not so good because it feels so hard so i think you need to be at...
  16. DHS Dragonow (good or bad) ?

Very very hard and little grip. 802 40 better in my opinion.
  17. The "old" blades - still a valid option or not

i think it is alot of personal preference. Many of the old blades are made of just wood, which many think give more feeling. While many new blades are made of wood and another material, so the feeling is proably not the same but they are proably a bit faster.
  18. Suggest some new names for Adam to use in his commentary

I think he just can call them by their given name.

  20. Is it worth serving short ? - for amateurs

It is good to be able to serve long. Your short serves will become much better if you sometimes serve long. But not smart to serve long all the time.
