That's my lady, she's a keeper. Crispy 7ply that has good dwell time. I would expect stiff 7ply to not have such a good dwell time, but the ball stays plenty long on the bat. The Gambler rubber is dead though, it started squicking :( It was great rubber when it lived though.
  2. How to explain why somebody must be passive when exercising

True, but that might a bit psychologically correlated, I've encountered a lot of people who think that having shitty equipment is less shameful than admitting that his skills (technique) are crap (I openly admit that my technique is garbagio). It's funny though, my generation was sort of trained...

  4. Need Wood Blade Help

I think the color is great, but I do agree that the quality of new Stiga blades are not the best :|
  5. How to explain why somebody must be passive when exercising

Maybe now is the time to change this. Why don't you start a thread about this? Or should I?
  6. God-like" All-Wood blades around the $30-$60 price range POLL

Since this site does not allow dynamic polls (with adding new options on voter demand) we can just organise it here same as we do organise biker meets in Poland. First poster posts list, then next poster reposts that list but with his vote, then next person copies previous posters post and...
  7. Need Wood Blade Help

A little off topic is stiga azalea second layer pine?
  8. Apex Blades, New Brand!

  9. How to explain why somebody must be passive when exercising

Also, a small tip, If you misplaced you thumb when firming up your grip the racket will fight against your grip. There is a fancy video of EmRathich showing in great detail why and how one should grip and where to put pressure. I've been fighting with a squiggly racket...
  10. How to explain why somebody must be passive when exercising

I am no expert, but you look tense. I think it's not good for muscles and also relaxing yourself might give you more precision and power (those two rarely go together lulz).
  11. Stiga Legacy Carbon blade

Does any new Stiga come with the thick handle?
  12. New Equipment (Rubbers & Blades) 2020

So you think they made their own non trademarked version of TeXtreme carbon? I've saw that labeled as DYF carbon. DYF is not as marketing friendly though.
  13. New Equipment (Rubbers & Blades) 2020

It very might well be but this video does not show enough evidence. When I had Textreme in my hands only physical properties I could see was the fact that it was much flatter as if it was somehow ironed or something (I did not end up buying that sheet though).
  14. New Equipment (Rubbers & Blades) 2020

The textreme keyword wore off, people maybe stopped finding it magical.
  15. Collecting blades .... good or bad?

I think he reached more than 300
  16. New Equipment (Rubbers & Blades) 2020

Well 12k carbon is 3 times as expensive as 3k carbon (at least at my supplier), so using more expensive fiber will drive the price (r&d and such). Fancy blades with fancy-sounding materials like super 12k carbon with super Stiga core material will have super fancy price tag :|
  17. Anti spin

Theoretically yes. But from my (limited) experience it's floaty topspin. Very weak topspin.
  18. Anti spin

It does not reverse any spin. The thing it does is it does not change the spin. What you consider a backspin is a ball spinning towards the opponent if the ball was the same spin was going towards the opponent he would consider it topspin. Same thing if a ball is spinning towards you you...
  19. Collecting blades .... good or bad?

If you really love a blade then settle with it. I've been on a search for this type of blade for a long time, but I settled with Chinese Clone of W968-8 (both I, my fellow players and my coach really like the blade, no selling though :p). If the Long 5 does not feel crisp enough, get H301/N301...
  20. Collecting blades .... good or bad?

What is that you like about your 5X then :| If you will name the things that you like in the blade it will make it possible for YOU to decide. No one here can (or even should) make that decision for you. PS: I really like this blog...
