  1. BBC, Levi or OSP

Easier to direct you here: http://mytabletennis.net/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=71371&PN=2&title=handmade-blades-by-levi-made-in-romania Mine is the one with the FL handle with the wood banding around the bottom.
  2. BBC, Levi or OSP

I haven't chipped in with this thread until tonight because I've only recently got my first Levi blade, and I had my first full session with it tonight. I've had a lot of OSP blades in the past. I haven't had a BBC. OSP blades are beautiful. Great materials, wonderful construction, wide...
  3. What's the difference Viscaria old handle vs new handle

I'm glad it's not just me. I've got two of the new handle ones and they feel quite a lot crisper and bouncier than others I've had in the past.
  4. OSP Virtuoso CRWi UNI OFF

I've used the Crest AR+ for most of the season. Once the league has finished I'll be having a bash with the CRWi and two custom blades - one from Levi and one from Stefan Elsner. I have to be honest though - I'm really attached to the Crest so there's every chance that I'll just stick with that.
  5. OSP Virtuoso CRWi UNI OFF

No, I switched to the CRWi for a few weeks mid-season but went back to my regular setup because I couldn't put the time into adjusting while we had crucial league matches. I had some great results with them but I was making stupid unforced errors too. My season finishes this week though and...
  6. Modern Chinese rubbers

I think that the QC on Big Dipper is really poor. My first sheets were lovely - soft, tacky, and the tack lasted for a few months. Since then all the ones I've ordered been harder and less tacky, and as you say the tack doesn't last either. A real shame.
  7. OSP Virtuoso CRWi UNI OFF

Awesome! Nice review as ever. I love these blades. Amazing balance between flex and power, and a looping machine from mid-distance. Like a super luxury upgraded Waldner Senso Carbon but with mega feel.
  8. Modern Chinese rubbers

If you're only thinking about modern, chinese, tacky rubbers, Sanwei Target National is the best I've used so far. It's like a better version of Big Dipper - better sponge and more quality control. H3-50 is excellent too, but is a bit slow overall (more flexible than H3 Neo though so easier to...
  9. Donic Crest Allround +

Donic have a lot of different suppliers. They have blades made in Sweden, China, Germany, all over the place - but the quality always seems to be pretty high. About the Crest AR+ - it's pretty thick and stiff with the fibre next to the core and two outer plies of limba giving a soft feel. I...
  10. Donic Crest Allround +

I use the Crest AR+. It's been my main blade for most of the season. I drifted away for a few weeks because I'm an idiot, but came back to it with my tail between my legs. It's the best blade I've ever owned.
  11. New Equipment 2016

Hopefully these new variants are better in terms of durability. I've got a Samba 19 on the way at the moment, so we shall see.
  12. German National Championships 2016

Video is unavailable in here the UK apparently. Boo! I suppose you could use a VPN...
  13. New Equipment 2016

Flyatt Spin is Made in Japan, so will probably be a variation on the Airoc theme, like Alhelg and the new Joola Samba 19 and Samba 27.
  14. Tibhar Drinkhall Range 2015

So, you have an answer now anyway. It's quite different! Drinkhall Powerspin Carbon - Koto - ALC - Ayous - Kiri Stratus Carbon - Limba - Ayous(?) - Kevlar Carbon - Ayous (Stratus might be limba/limba rather than limba/ayous - not sure)
  15. Vibration Property on Butterfly Matrix

Ha - yes. Inversely proportional to the likelihood of immediately putting the rubber on eBay.
  16. Vibration Property on Butterfly Matrix

I totally agree with you. "Control" has always been a nonsense term, purely driven by marketing and the need to sell new blades. I'm glad Butterfly have got rid of it. Vibration in this case is probably useful in giving some idea of blade stiffness, or how linear the power delivery is. Here...
  17. World Team Table Tennis Championships 2016

Yeah, it's the Crest Off. Great to see one show up at the highest level. They're amazing blades and underappreciated at the moment.
  18. World Team Table Tennis Championships 2016

zeio beat me to the punch over at myTT though! I was frantically on the calculator all morning. If Germany had won 3-1, they would have gone through. It was that tight.
  19. World Team Table Tennis Championships 2016

Amazing stuff - England edge out Germany by a very narrow sets ratio to take 3rd place!!!!
  20. best place to buy Xiom

+1 for Tibi, the man is a genius.
