  1. Butterfly G40+ Plastic Ball Review

    Where are you ordering from?
  2. Which poly ball should you choose?

I've always said that smaller is better. I'll forward a link to this thread to my wife and she'll finally agree with me.
  3. Glasses/contact lenses in table tennis?

Here is Habesohn wearing his new glasses at the Euros: My contacts have been annoying me recently, mainly when I'm tired out of my mind from being up with the kids the night before. I find it hard to focus on anything and blinking seems to unsettle things further. I tried my regular glasses...
  4. Which poly ball should you choose?

Some people like them (I do), some people don't. Depends on your play style. One thing for sure - they are far more expensive, and supply has been patchy.
  5. Which poly ball should you choose?

Also - I see that Butterfly have mentioned that their German-made G40+ ball will be on sale Jan 21st 2016 (at least in Japan). http://www.butterfly.co.jp/information/product/butterflyfair-2015autumn.html
  6. Which poly ball should you choose?

Some news for us in the UK. The Bristol Grand Prix (14th/15th Nov) will be using the Joola Flash 40+, which is seamless. Good news if you ask me.

  8. Butterfly.tt massive announcement in 2 days?

https://www.facebook.com/kokusaitakkyu Here we go. Main points - Bryce Highspeed, Kenta ALC.
  9. Fan Zhendong equipment

I am more confused now than when I started. Not a good sign. I just broke out my 1st gen Viscaria from the vault. It's battered, and as you say the ALC weave is a much darker blue than recent ALCs I've had, so I see the point about FZD's blade. And the thin ply in the end of the handle gives...
  10. European Championships 2015 (Singles Event)

    A-maz-ing.
  11. Fan Zhendong equipment

OK, now that is a good picture. Are you sure that it's ZJK's? I ask because the dark ply which should be ALC seems to disappear at the end of the handle, almost as if it's the cross-cut section of a wood ply. If the ALC just gets darker over time, I'd expect it to be uniform. Unless it's...
  12. European Championships 2015 (Singles Event)

Pitchford v Dima coming up next, table 1, grab some popcorn.
  13. European Championships 2015 (Singles Event)

http://ettu.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/matches.aspx?id=25660E7F-3F6F-46C7-954D-5F379E6D8FE4&d=20151002 It's 20:30pm local time, and they are 4 hours ahead I think, so 16:30pm GMT I guess.
  14. Fan Zhendong equipment

OK, in your first pic, I really can't tell from the darker ply. It looks too dark to be ALC, and the banding looks like the burnt spruce in the Infinity. But the detail isn't high enough for me, so impossible to say for sure. However, the ply visible in the end of the handle looks too thin to...
  15. European Championships 2015 (Singles Event)

Pitchford has got Dima later tonight, table 1. Should be interesting...
  16. EJs wanted! a rubber similar to Adidas P7

I went back to P7 on the FH a few months ago - still a great rubber. So I then went through the same thought process about finding a replacement once stocks dried up. The suggestions here are all pretty good TBH, but it depends on how close to P7 you want to get. NL's suggestion of 5Q+ is...
  17. Win a new batch of Butterfly Easy Ball 40+

I got mine. I can send them on to you if you like mate.
  18. Yasaka Rising Dragon

I used spinart a loooong time ago, plus that was the cell era (I guess we can call it that now). The comparison is a good one! They are quite close in a few ways. I'd say that Rising Dragon feels a bit more solid (i.e. generally harder) and direct than spinart, which itself feels more elastic...
  19. Yasaka Rising Dragon

It's a bit expensive for a Made in China rubber Tony. Any idea why?
  20. Yasaka Rising Dragon

About the same as JP01 Turbo I think. RD's sponge is pretty hard and dense...
