  1. Recommendations for CPEN blade

I have a YEO. My experience is that it is very good when I commit to my strokes and when I do soft touches. In the middle gear I feel a little difficult to control (could be the rubbers). So it depends on your playing style.
  2. Serve tactics

Generally I have 4 spin variation per serve: 1. Maximum backspin - aim to win the point right away (opponent pushes it into the net/fail to open up). 2. Moderate backspin - prevent my opponent to flick; I will then open up and start attacking first. 3. Light backspin/float - tempt my opponent...
  3. FH-Topspin trainingsession with Battle 2 Bluesponge on FZD ALC

Moving faster or swing faster? For moving, skipping can help. Make it easier to stay on your toe. Losing weight will also help but that only applies if you are overweight. For swinging, I find stretches helps. Once I become more flexible, I can swing more effortlessly. That also helps...
  4. Recommendations for CPEN blade

A bit thick for RPB I'd say. Whilst it is certainly possible to RPB with thicker blade (my current blade is ~8 mm), the bat angle needs to be more open and the stroke needs to be more drive-through the ball. Maybe the Yasaka (Ma Lin) Extra Special...
  5. Viscaria alc vs Innerforce layer alc

https://www.butterfly-global.com/en/products/blade/matrix.html Viscaria would be faster with harder feeling. Quality-wise they are in the same range. I don't think one of them would be genuinely better, it is about which one will suit your game better.
  6. Technique advice for me

Yes I thought so, this mindset is quite common. In that case you can still try to do more DTL return, and/or vary the spin and pace of your BH attack to make it more difficult for your opponent - slow and spinny tends to work well against non-aggressive TBH block. The crossover is also a good...
  7. Technique advice for me

If you really want to win, maybe you should exploit his footwork and wide FH a bit more. Or even just push long back to his BH since he doesn't really attack those.
  8. Selling rubbers and Loss Aversion

No, I am struggling to sell any of my stuff...including unopened new rubbers.
  9. Recommendations for CPEN blade

For RPB, I find mid-soft (42-25 esn hardness) rubbers works better with YEO on BH, otherwise a big/fast swing is needed.
  10. FH-Topspin trainingsession with Battle 2 Bluesponge on FZD ALC

With extra fast setup, soft touches (e.g. short push) and brushing techniques (e.g. brush loop) are more difficult. So super-short serve (bounce >2 times on table) and half-long serve (second bounce just outside the edge of table) could be effective. If your opponent can't move fast enough to...
  11. Yinhe Pro 05 First Impressions

I have several Yinhe blades, and all of them seem factory sealed to me, so I don't think you need to seal them yourself again.
  12. Common Sense Rubbers

play before work and play after work if you work roughly 9 to 5. I find having single session that last longer than 3 hours is too exhausting for playing everyday (this assumes the 3 hour session is all serious practice/match).
  13. FH-Topspin trainingsession with Battle 2 Bluesponge on FZD ALC

Feels like you are forcing your forearm and/or wrist to accelerate to get more spin? Which makes your swing after the contact looks a bit tense.
  14. Can anyone share experience using the GEWO Holz Aruna Hinoki Carbon OFF?

Screenshot from two weeks ago. The blade face is definitely not black.
  15. Can anyone share experience using the GEWO Holz Aruna Hinoki Carbon OFF?

It is difficult to tell from videos because both blades have very similar, if not identical handles. But it doesn't seem like his blade has a black top veneer, so I doubt it is the Energy ARC OFF.
  16. Can anyone share experience using the GEWO Holz Aruna Hinoki Carbon OFF?

  17. Rubber Recommendations on FZD SZLC

You could be an advanced player and have only ever played Hurricanes and Tenergies. If you start training from an early age, you may just use whatever the coach tells you to.
  18. Common Sense Rubbers

I don't want a rubber that lasts a whole year :D I quite like putting new rubber sheets on.
  19. Common Sense Rubbers

With good coaching, fast equipment isn't a big problem. Without coaching, amateur players would develop all kinds of bad habits with overly fast and/or spinny/spin-sensitive equipments.
  20. Speed glue / tensor = same thing?

Why are they only allowed to play internationally if they are in the national team? Can they not play internationally even if they pay for their own expense?
