I asked one of the sellers about the S-ZLC clone. They said that it is a clone of the S-ZLC structure, but it is actually zlc carbon fiber. Is ZLC a widely available material than any blade maker can acquire? Or does BTY make it themselves?

How would you rate the speed and flex of your Lemuria? Was the speed and flex more or less or basically similar to the real Mizutani SZLC? Or can you compare to VIS or any other popular blade? Any splintering issues with the surface layer?

Well in the end I just sold it for $50. Honestly I don't know if its worth more or less. Made in Japan, Nittaku, Off+ wood blade seems like it should be worth a good amount. But at the same time, its not in production anymore, maybe never was that popular, and I never played with it anymore...

But its not just the surface hardness, clearly the stiffness is very stiff. The blade wont bend and it sends the ball flying. Can i just sand it with sandpaper on in my hand? Or do i need some kind of tool?

The specific sealant are the 2 images i posted in #3. The wood finish says penetrate, stain, and seal. So i assume it has some sealing qualities. I put the wood finish because the surface had splintered quite a lot, so i thought that the penetration might help to restore the wood a little. I...

It is pretty cool feature. BTY should copy them and provide it on their blades too. I tried a Innerforce ZLC today, and it kind of reminded me of HL5.

yes I can see this happening as well. They probably aren't truly a proper shop, but just a guy doing it more as a hobby. They don't have a real payment system in place.

Just to add to the story, this is the blade before i sealed it for him. The edges look like they were chewed by a dog, and its covered with filth. I cannot imagine what you must do to make a blade look like this. And this is the good side. The other side is far worse. Took me 3 days to clean...

I think he said he bought it from a local sports shop (probably sells some TT and badminton gear). I dunno if they sports shop knew what they had or if they thought they were selling a HL5 too.

Wow nice find. That is exactly the same design pattern on friend's blade, just swap the wang hao photo for ma long. Well, kinda feel bad for my friend for paying $80 for a used pre-made blade that didn't even come with the rubbers. Maybe the seller just used the ma long photo to trick people...

Yeah when I looked at it, it didn't appear to have carbon layers in it. But it was pretty beat up, so it was a little hard to see. But i'm fairly sure it has no carbon in it, hence 5w blade.
