When I started playing for the first real time after the 30+ yrs break, I didn't hit so well. When I used an old sheet of H3 from 42&bp, my strokes/shots/game came back. LOL but i have been playing with non-tacky rubbers for quite some time. So it will interesting to see how my strokes will be.

Yeah easy on the sanding of the wings, although you can use wood putty, i feel it's harder to add wood putty back on then if i took it nice and slow in gradually sanding down the wings. Man, oldschool Yasaka Mark V! Brings back a ton of memories! LOL at humbleness !!! i'm a poser wannabe even...

Hit for 90 mins last night. With 1st partner, someone I've never seen before, young gentleman, he said he was rusty. I mostly returned the ball ... sometimes i added a little topspin, but most times just returned the ball. He video'd himself so he may be posting video somewhere and some old fat...

I have been contemplating, albeit in the back of my pea brain, to try my old Avalox P700 with H3 on it to see how I play... i have been playing exclusively with your American Hinoki/Butterfly Tenergy 80-FX for i don't know how many months and have a decent enough RPB in practice. It may not be...

  13. Too much sidespin on forehand topspins

whocarez, I'm late to the thread, Carl mentioned it briefly. Don't think anyone followed up on it... Take it from a player who loves to flat hit/smash, it is NOT easy to hit slow spinny loops. If i hit the ball early enough, I smash, but if i pick it up too late, the kick/bounce will take off...

  15. Just curious how many Penholders are on TTD?

Thank you suds! As to the rocket serve... "The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The 2nd best time is now." Just keep practicing it! But the key is to START! It is great reading about your progress! It's ironic that it's come full circle (may change again in the future? :) I have...

There are 2 legit choppers at my club, one is 2000+ AND 80 yrs old! I don't want to insult him to have him hit with me as I'm not a steady looper as well as not waste his time. Although even if i wanted to hit with him, all the good players in the club are hitting with him. There is another...

Hit for 90 mins or so straight last night. Was a little gassed out. Hit with 2 partners, the 2nd partner was very challenging. My first time hitting with him. During my summer break, he must've joined. Young guy, SH, likes to play away from table. Lobs, wicked sidespin loops, chops, etc...
