  1. Butterfly announces new Sping Sponge X

Well Evolution series isn't their latest generation, so no surprise it's discounted like that. I guess this would lie in the eyes of the beholder.
  2. Butterfly announces new Sping Sponge X

Probably depends on the discount. I don't know where you're at, but over here for instance the Bluestorm Z1 is labeled with a price tag of €49.90 and Rozena is €44.00 If you get 10% it's still slightly above Rozena, if you get 20% then it's slightly below, but IMHO that's rather small potatoes...
  3. Butterfly announces new Sping Sponge X

Sorry mate, but 1nce again i would have to disagree here. Maybe i could agree on the older ESN Generations, but their brandnew premium stuff isn´t too far off from BTY´s price tag. And if you can find the chance to purchase a Rozena from China or US you´d be in the price range of the older ESN...
  4. Butterfly announces new Sping Sponge X

Yeah, i think the truth lies in between these two extremes. Being used to a product for a decade and then change to something else isn´t impossible, but this mostly happens in the competition free time, but in any case it will be a draw back ´cause muscle memory and timing will be off and take...
  5. Butterfly announces new Sping Sponge X

Sorry, but I'm unable to agree on this. Yes, they have a range of fancy premium priced products, but they also have quite a few 'cheapos'. Just depends what one is looking for. The 'roundell' isn't at a premium price level. The Rozena is discounted to $33.00 on every market except in Europe...
  6. Has anyone tried to figure out the weight of the glue?

Exactly. Last time i met Keini he showed me how he and many other pros use something like 2 layers on the blade and 6 to 8 on the rubber (depending on the glue)
  7. w968 with a n301

Exactly. He also has a sales thread over here. https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/forum/showthread.php?19239-Design-your-custom-blade-and-Build-it-here!
  8. Single ply shakehand blades

Not many Images of the old H-1-9 can be found online. But the ones i found look different than your blades, so could be that your blades are from another brand.
  9. Help me choose the best setup

ZJK SZLC with brycehighspeed in 2.1 both sides. Period. On a more serious note, it's quite hard to give proper suggestions without knowing what you can do or having seen you play. It's a lucky shot in the dark at best and could be totally hindering your development at worst.
  10. Best FH in the world at the moment?

Oh shoot, you beat me on this one. Excellent choice. [Emoji106]
  11. Best FH in the world at the moment?

Ha, if it's like that, I'mma throw my hat in the ring as well. Tibor Klampar! All other suckaz can go home. [Emoji12]
  12. Single ply shakehand blades

I personally know at least two guys using ox lp on their single plies, but if you're more into spinning on the bh and not so much into blocking or chopping then smooth rubbers could be more helpful, otherwise just go ahead. [Emoji2]
  13. Tackiest,softest tensor rubber available?

Man, who's been the necromancer trying to resurrect this old thread? Don't get me wrong. Some threads are definitely worth reviving, but i think this isn't one of those. I think you've been mixing up grippiness with tackiness. Rakza can't lift a ball. To be more precise: it's N O T a...
  14. Single ply shakehand blades

Nice catch. They look well ripened and matured. Must have a lovely feeling. Have you ever played Hinoki blades before? They are one of a kind. (I know, i know, every tree is unique, but the Hinoki playing properties are very different to the regular limba/ayous/koto combos. Pls keep us posted...
  15. Single ply shakehand blades

Goodness! Where did you get these beauties from? Yeah, definitely looks like Hinoki. Wonderful. Just glue on some rubbers and enjoy yourself. [Emoji2]
  16. Seal or not seal DHS Hurricane 301

I know at least one person who definitely knows what he's speaking of and that's also well respected on TT-forums who only used to use hairspray. He's also mod at mytt and goes by the name of Baal. We already had a few threads about sealing in the past. So in case you're interested, here...
  17. LGL playing sandpaper tt

IMHO I would say yes, because one of the big advantages of penhold is the amount of spin that can be generated by wrist usage, especially on serve/receive and short game. And this advantage will be strongly diminished with hardbat/sandpaper.
  18. BH/FH rubbers around 42° hardness

Well, both Rasanter R/V and Bluestorm Z1/2/3 series are from the newest ESN generation same as Gewo Nexxus series or Joola Rhyzer series. But as you can imagine every company has their own recipe to bake a cake, and everyone will taste a little different, if you get what I'm meaning. ESN...
  19. Custom made soulspin Zylon Carbon blade

I wouldn't say basalt has that composite feeling. I've had the chance to hit with a basalt soulspin blade from a friend for a few minutes and it felt very 'woody'. Basalt is a magma/lava-like material that feels very different to the typical composite feeling.
  20. Joola bought Joola

Well, why not take a look at the given facts. In Germany there is the spoteo index, which lists up sport brands in general, but one can filter for tabletennis. The list i've found seems to be a few years old though. http://www.spoteo.de/sport-firmen/sportarten/Tischtennis.html The whole index...
